      It’s been quite a few years since I’ve watched canadian news and upon reading of the Iran strikes this morning, I figured why not….

      First station one I came to was Global News. Tuned in, sat through 2 1/2 minutes of commercials and then a story about some lisping dude who makes pink doughnuts…..

      Back to not watching canadian garbage until the Alberta separation referendum on 19 October.

3. I have a couple of friends who are of Irish stock, two of the smartest folks I’ve ever met, so I know that not all Irish people are retarded like Sean O’Shea appears to be.
   His US derangement seems “card carrying” so even when not being utilized it’s at the “able to be shown to anyone caring to see it” at the ready. It’s Orwellian actually, to post like this with his own name attached.

      1. I was a regular online Rush listener for about 15 years and note that the CRTC ban on him didn’t affect me an iota, though it would have been good to hear on a regular radio too.

         When Telus calls me to ask if I’d like to buy a monthly cable package, I ask if I have to pay for CBC CTV Global and they tell me “these are all included” and I respond with, “no no you don’t understand…” and they tell me I have no choice in the matter.
         I suspect soon enough we’ll be able to choose which channels we permit into our living rooms, not only on PlutoTv

      1. Larry, while a grad economics student at Queen’s we played around, using game theory, about introducing a third corporation into a duopoly market (a market with only two firms). It’s standard knowledge that with only two firms in the market the firms will not differentiate their product (eg., Coke and Pepsi, Time and Newsweek).

         So Global News comes in the TV news market, with CTV and CBC news producing the same Liberal, left-wing bilge. According to our game theory models, Global news cannot make money reproducing the same bilge as CTV and CBC, since the two paid-and-bought-for corporations are already producing the same product. Global news could increase its market share by producing a conservative news product. This is what FOX News did, and they are killing the left-wing networks as to viewers. But Global doesn’t know enough to do this.
