Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

As much as I like to see this, it’s still too little, too late.
This should have happened years ago, *before* they first banned semi-automatic rifles for being black or scary-looking, and before the ridiculous magazine restrictions that accomplish nothing.
So some time around 1979?
That’s all well and fine … all those “police agencies” … but tell me about the RCMP? i am certain THAT corrupt and compromised “police agency” WILL still kick down your door and confiscate your gun(s).
I’ll be very surprised if the Forever Liberal Government backs down on this in any way, shape or form.
The Security-over-freedom crowd votes Liberal hard.
These confiscations allow the Authoritarians to confidently carry-on with their Bills To Rule Them All.
You can’t have Dystopia with an armed citizenry.
A related concern is whether these police agencies will stand firm or eventually back down. I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
Yup. The Spendy Carneyites could just funnel money (bribes) to the various forces, not to mention their associations.
And of course the cops are never going to break down their own doors in a dog-shooting dawn raid.
Whether or not police participate in the compensation program, the guns are still prohibited and you can go to prison for possessing one. Furthermore you can no longer buy semi-auto rifles in Canada, aside from a tiny number of models that will likely be banned in future.
The only hope for gun owners is a Conservative government that rolls all of this back, but they seldom have the courage to take such actions, fearing that some mass shooting will occur and be hung around their necks.
If you think the “conservatives will do that remember it was the conservatives that started this whole stinking mess.
“The only hope for gun owners is a Conservative government that rolls all of this back, but they seldom have the courage to take such actions, fearing that some mass shooting will occur and be hung around their necks.”
I voted for Stephen Harper because he promised to eliminate Bill C-68. Instead, he pulled a ‘bait and switch’, and eliminated the newly proposed federal long-gun registry.
If Carney weren’t ideologically driven to tyranny, he could triangulate on this and in a sentient culture, the public might see this for what it is but the culture is now increasingly Marxist and any excuse for gun confiscation is considered virtue by the captured institutions and their Eloi. This is a war against gun culture and has nothing to do with crime other than the calculated criminalization of more people by the dead hand of the state.
Gee, there’s only one solution: the RCMP will have to hire thousands of blockheads to do the gun roundups. Good thing there’s no real crime to attend to, eh?
Fred…” and eliminated the newly proposed federal long-gun registry.”
Obviously he didn’t Fred remember High River?
The police were working off a list that supposedly didn’t exist!
When Provinces and Territories all refuse to participate in a federal law,is this not a stunning nation wide vote of nonconfidence?
At a minimum the Mister should resign.
Sheer incompetence, they can’t even get Liberal provincial support.
The same rules apply to politicians declaring a “State of Emergency” and demanding even greater power.
This is idiotic, for these same politicians created the circumstances they now call “an emergency”..Like the lawless mess of Surrey BC.
So when politicians and their minions cry “Emergency” they are only half way there.
Resignations are next.
Every Member of Parliament who voted to declare the Truckers Protest a “National Emergency” must stepdown.
The Courts have now ruled and found our politicians either stupid or vilely malicious..embrace the concept of both..
Law breakers and oath breakers toward those “Human Rights ” they swore to uphold.
When the parasites call emergency, they are admitting their failure, then demanding the power to double down on their Arrogant Incompetence.
Last thing we tax payers need,is having the screwups who caused the chaos, stomping on our necks as they pretend to “Fix it”.
A sane society would respond to any politician shrieking “Emergency” with a polite “Thank you,now get yea gone”.

Danielle Smith has repeatedly shared the peoples frustration that judges,
being Liberal Party of Canada appointees, do not share Alberta citizens concerns,
cannot be impartial, and that Albertan’s should have some say in their appointments.
In a shot across Alberta’s bow
(shortly after Marc Carney 马克·卡尼 returned with marching orders from Beige-ing)
the LPC judges warned Albertans to mind their P’s & Q’s.
Likely signaling Chi-Com intent to attempt to crush the Alberta Independence movement,
come what may, since the sudden loss of Alberta is more than a little troublesome for China’s
North American ambitions.
One disappointment on the Calgary APP webcast was the speaker calling for an Albertan gun registry. Why in a free state would such a thing be necessary? Better to write laws that punish the misuse of firearms rather than citizens pursuing their hobbies.
