An arbitrator has ordered the reinstatement of an Ontario postman fired for hoarding at least 6,000 pieces of mail during the summer of 2022 because Canada Post wasn’t aware of his post-traumatic stress disorder.
Hyun Min Jang was terminated from his job as a rural and suburban mail carrier in King City, Ont., “for misdirection and delay of mail, as a result of the discovery of thousands of pieces of undelivered mail in his personal vehicle,” according to a recent decision from Kathleen G. O’Neil, the arbitrator.

Just in case anyone was wondering -why- Canada Post is losing $10 millon bucks a month or whatever ludicrous amount it is, this right here is a pretty good clue.
One of the big differences between Amazon and Canada Post is that Amazon can FIRE useless tweakers who steal stuff. And they do.
Another big difference is that Canada Post management is a bunch of people too stupid to get jobs in the private sector, who also can’t be fired. Look at the fricking trucks they bought the last couple of years. Insanity.

Yes, I read about this last week and I will be very surprised if Canada Post is around in 10 years. I am the executrix for my late sister’s estate and CRA will only notify me by mail. When the estate taxes were approved on December 3 (according to the letter), it took Canada Post over 2 weeks to deliver the letter from Sudbury. It was stated in the article that this letter carrier had held back cheques as well. I absolutely loathe Canada Post from the bottom of my heart.
Sudbury? If you live in Western Canada, don’t you find it strange when a lot of tax correspondence comes from Charlottetown, Jonquire, and Sudbury instead of Winnipeg? That’s because Liberals shit on Western Canada to give jobs to the useless leeches to the east.
