I don’t think it was Musk.
I think it was the video itself. When people can see that ridiculous situation with their own eyes, it has real gravitas. When people read news articles and watch TV news reports, it does not feel as real. It seems remote, they know there is spin, they cannot really picture the reality.
In the video they see with their own eyes a cheap “daycare” sign plastered on the side of a concrete building with windows shaded black, surrounded by pavement, no playground, no yard. A place nobody would want to send their child. And then they see that not a single child is to be found. They also see a few Somalis here and there claiming to be the owners or managers while also claiming to know nothing. Finally, they hear that this place received a million dollars a year for many years, which is much more than most people’s lifetime income.
Even if it were not fraud, it is still incomprehensible how a million dollars could be flowing into these ugly, sterile places, there is no way in heck such places could or should ever be raking in that kind of money.
When they see it all with their own eyes, then it has a lot of traction.
I think the videos in Gaza also had the same effect. Once those videos came out showing the buildings flattened for miles, that had a lot of traction galvanizing people on the left. Hearing people talking about war is one thing, but looking at the flattened remains of an entire city is another.
If Musk didn’t own X, this thing would never have seen the light of day.
In response to the Gaza videos, I reply “Am I the only person to have actually read the forensic reports on what happened on October 7, 2023”. The Philistines (the old Testament word for Palestinians) broke the ceasefire in the most horrific way imaginable, they deserve everything which happens to them. And when people say “Oh, 2 wrongs do not make a right!”, that is always the response of bullies. It is all right for them to start evil, but when Israel responds, oh, then they are the victims. I have had to deal with both physical and emotional bullies all of my life. I no longer care about them.

And I agree that all religions are false, though of those Christianity is among the best. And that includes the most moronic, anti-scientific cult of them all – evolutionism.
