Blubbering Dougie

More evidence that Canada is not a serious country. Given that Crown Royal is distilled in Gimli, Ford’s decision effectively imposes economic sanctions on Manitoba.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says to “stock up” on Crown Royal, confirming he plans to strip the Canadian whisky from the shelves of the LCBO in retaliation for a planned plant closure.

It said bottling at the factory intended for the U.S. market will be shifting stateside, while bottling for Canadian consumers will relocate to its Valleyfield, Que., location.

I hope the Bloated Comorbidity Ford has Arthritis from taking 28 minutes to pour it out. He looked like a Gay Peter Griffin, only Gayer

Blubber Duggy makes me miss Rob Ford. Glory to Fordistan!

  1. Thug ford is such a blithering idiot, he may make the turd seem even smart by comparison. Time to get out of the demented dominion. Was looking up where to sign the independence petition yesterday.

  2. Cripe, I might have to boycott Crown Royal, now that they’re moving to QueBeck.
I do like their Apple Whiskey though !

    1. Why not buy the best Canadian whiskies, made right here in Alberta?!

Funniest thing is most major distilleries are owned by a few global conglomerates, even ADL in Calgary, whom, at different times, has provided distillates for major us brands, like Jim Beam (Beam/Suntory used to own ADL, now it’s just Suntory) Whistle Pig (how do you start a new distillery and offer aged spirits?) and others.

Also, the Bronfmans have owned the La Salle distillery in Quebec from 1924 to 1996 and it’s still used as a bottling facility and warehouse.

Crown Royal has been going downhill for a while now, there were some high end whiskies being made like Crown Royal XR and XO being made from the last vestiges of whiskies from the Waterloo distillery (burnt down) and the Le Salle facility, commanding prices now in the 1000’s of dollars, but I believe the one iteration of 30yr old Alberta Premium blows them both out of the water and was available for $50..

        1. Thanks, Kenji, I was unaware of this!

Suntory makes a range of whiskies that are decent, but I prefer the ones made right here at home in Alberta! If you are ever up this way, I’d love to share a glass with you!

Have you tried Rangeland rye whiskey from High River? It’s on the low end price wise but darn it, I think I might enjoy it too much!!!

          2. Make no mistake … In the near future, I will take a driving loop through the Cdn. Rockies and prairies … and I will need some pit stops. Refreshment pauses.

  3. Gotta hand it to him…the dude can read a room. No one could’ve predicted the success of the “Elbows Up” travelling theatre troupe. Now that he knows what sells; if it’s Kabuki theatre the Ontario kids want…Kabuki theatre it shall be.

    1. Shrug. The “elbows up” productions get standing ovations in every large Canadian city.

    1. Illegal immigrants? About 80% of theft around here is committed by indigenous Canadians. Which is why they are in the majority in the inmate population.

  4. Same guy that said he’d shut of my “hydro” here in the States? That guy?

Ya know, the Libs and especially JTrudeau should NOT have spend years, decades, taunting Trump and the American GOP Presidents. Not much Canada can do to cause pain to USA, but tons the USA can do. And to think you’ve got 3 more years of this — and 4/8 more if JD or Marco follows Trump. But elbows up, etc.

    1. Sorry … but I have to remind that the DOW shot UP 500 MORE points today … after yesterday’s 700 points to yet new record highs. And the Nasdaq UP almost 150 points.

Is that what you were all hoping to achieve with your elbows out business? Were you expecting to catapult the US economy to all new heights … almost 50x this past year?

      Happy Jan. 6 !!!!

  5. So now we have to smuggle it from Buffalo, all because Dougie couldn’t follow through with getting rid of lickbo

  6. Fat Fck Ford proves everyday that Canadian politicians are low-IQ cvnts.
Thus their success with mewling quim and nutless coward voters…who are legion.
    Sigh.

  7. Perhaps Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba could take all Ontario wines off their shelves.
