December 30, 2025: Reader Tips

Here’s a live version of Richard Marx performing Right Here Waiting.

Bonus: This German woman’s video of visiting Florida (and America) for the first time, reminds me of a whole lot of Canadians I’ve met. The one difference is that she’s polite. I know way too many Canadians who don’t hesitate whatsoever to tell Americans how they should live their lives and structure their society.

Hoping we don’t have to wait long to get some great news tips from you all!

  1. Last night’s journey back to 1977 elicited another fabulous lp from that year … Supertramp’s Even in the Quietest Moments released in 1977. The band became immediately known throughout the audiophile community because of the quality of their studio engineering and recording. I own a so-so “audiophile” half-speed mastered 1981version of the lp … pressed in Japan and packaged in Canada, no less … but the recording quality still shines through. Hey! But it still sells for an average of $137 Cad.

  2. THOSE, Canadians who don’t hesitate whatsoever to tell Americans how they should live their lives and structure their society, are from Quebec.

    1. Canadians don’t want foreign-owned critical mineral projects, they don’t want their governments to invest in critical mineral projects and they won’t directly invest in critical mineral projects. But they want and need critical minerals. Welcome to Canada, the Oregon of the north.

    1. I have lived in New Brunswick since 1985 and have in-laws in Nova Scotia, whom we often visit. From my perspective there are cultural and political differences between NB and NS. New Brunswick is more religious and has a rural-based conservative streak, full of hunters and fishermen. Nova Scotia is is less Christian and has lots of p-c universities and a large metropolitan area.

Nova Scotia lacks grassroots groups who are p****d off enough to confront the teachers unions. Conservative groups are necessary to confront this crap.

  3. I did a Google search typing in “current dissident protests in Iran today” — whereby Iranian pro-democracy demononstrators are putting their lives on the line protesting against the Islamist regime. Here are the media who have reported on the protests:

As you can see, the big conservative media, like FOX News and the Wall Street Journal, plus a few others like Al Jezeera, are reporting on this. Note from the above link that the head of Iran’s central bank has resigned given the water and energy crises, and that Iran’s president says the government is willing to listen. Despite all of this, the liberal corporate media are censoring this story.

I am not a conepirasist type of person. But this goes beyond the pale. The values of the liberal media cartel sicken me. DM.

      1. Some of the stuff I post here comes from Tousi TV. He’s a good conservative source, for world and British affairs.

      1. This is because CNN supports the repressive Iranian regime, as does the corporate media in North America.

  4. I understand the reaction to cultural differences but the woman’s response to the church flyer left me a bit unsettled. I guess I don’t encounter that as directly when talking to Europeans.
