Liz Truss resigned because big players in financial markets didn’t like her budget, which spooked around 100 Conservative Party members who immediately turned against her.
I should have added that she didn’t even get a chance to improve the British economy, let alone try to.

All nations are run by incompetent despots. It is an inherent characteristic of government universally. The only solution is to keep the government small and weak so these miscreants have less loot to play with. It’s astounding how many otherwise intelligent people fail to see this.
