Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Just shoot him! Next……
And send an invoice to his family for the cost of the bullet.
And what was the total cost to taxpayers to eventually convict this obvious terrorist? And what will the estimated cost be to taxpayers to imprison him for the rest of his life? I assume there will also be appeals, education costs, and other assorted BS over the upcoming years.
“And what was the total cost to taxpayers…”
Too much. For sure.
But on the other hand, are we dumb enough to give these corrupt government a-holes the power of life and death? Better to keep even the most heinous perps alive, for the times when the government is incompetent and/or lying. Remember Covid? They can be worse. So much worse.
The only morally legitimate capital punishment is at the hands of the intended victim during the commission of the crime. Everything else after the fact is societal vengeance at best.
I’m in favor of revenge killing, by a family member or not, which doesn’t equate with societal vengeance, which isn’t necessariy a bad thing.
Vengeance delivered by -individuals- is not an awesome thing, and can go extremely wrong… but it doesn’t threaten the fabric of society. Because it’s only one guy at a time. There’s no momentum, right?
Government controlled and mandated vengeance in the hands of corrupt, stupid bureaucrats? That’s a big threat.
At some point in time, you have to think the security services around the western world are pleased with all these Jihadist being let in.
Its job security.
And if I’m wrong, why are they not executed?
Oh wait, that’s because its job security for the justice system.
“At some point in time, you have to think the security services around the western world are pleased with all these Jihadist being let in.”
Formerly I would have argued that they couldn’t possibly, but given that the Canadian government PAYS them to be here, it seems you could be right. After all, it is easier to justify billions in security budgets when terrorists are in fact blowing stuff up.
And we know from Covid that yes, they -would- stoop that low.
“And if I’m wrong, why are they not executed?”
Well, again, while #Liberals love to shout “but muh Human rights!” all day long, we do have MAiD.
Personally I’m against it because the government are a pack of lying scum.
