  1. It’s not a great time to be Jewish in Canada’s largest city.

    No need for tribalism. Unless you’re hard left on the political spectrum it hasn’t exactly been a bed of roses for anyone in Canada.

    1. Oh so you’ve had thugs with loudspeakers calling for your murder while marching up and down your street too? So you’ve been told your mere presence is so odious it’s going to provoke someone to commit violence against you, so you better go into hiding until they go home? So your schools have been shot at, your place of worship firebombed and you’ve had people who say they want you to die going around your neighbourhood making note of your address to make sure they know where you live? Your children have been called baby killers by their classmates and they’ve been beaten up and had their personal items stolen while teachers take the position they deserve it because of who they are? Your children have had to watch while you get beaten in the street? Really? What is your tribe? I had no idea.

            Plenty of chatter from that righteous Jew Ezra Levant…not so much from the usual “Nazis under Canadian beds!!” loudmouths. Replace the word “churches” with “synagogues” …then have the Prime Minister of Canada characterize the torchings as “understandable” and you’d have the Bernie Farbers of this country calling for the War Measures Act.

      I stated that 2 + 2 = 4.

      I NEVER said or thought or remotely hinted that it’s challenging between a Christian in the GTA or many parts of Canada these days. Of course that’s true! But I was trying to make a specific point about this particular story.

        And I stated that 3 + 1 is also equal to 4 if math analogies are your jam.
        And I was making a specific point about the country overall in that one needn’t be Jewish to understand that this country has gone to hell in a handbasket and that unless you’re left of centre this country overall is hard on everyone – protests on the street targeting a certain ethnic demographic…arrested and lawfared for a trucker’s rally…churches torched…private property confiscated at the whim of the courts …frozen accounts and on and on it goes. A reinforcement of your point of sorts.
        That you and others think the word “tribal” or “tribalism” refers specifically to jews and jews only is your problem…not mine.

    4. Tribalism is the default organizational model of our species. It’s hard wired into our DNA and it isn’t going to change no matter what anyone wants.

  2. We have a Han Chinese supremacist in the mayor’s office. It’s natural that removing all obstacles to Han Chinese supremacy in Toronto would be a top priority.

  4. Meanwhile Warren Kinsella who says he’s pro Israel, continues to shill for the Liberals who not only do nothing to stop attacks on Jews, they tacitly encourage the attacks.

    To paraphrase Carney, “Muslim values are Liberal values,” all the while knowing that the Palestinian protesters are saying kill Jews.

      But I nit-pick. But as you said, you are paraphasing.
