Armstrong Economics- The EU and Canada Collaborate on Digital IDs
The danger here is obvious. Mutual recognition means a unified framework. They’re building a foundation to establish a GLOBAL digital ID. Once these systems talk to one another, you have created the architecture for a worldwide database controlled by the political elite. This is precisely what the EU has been pushing with its Digital Services Act and the infamous “digital wallet” proposal. Now they are exporting it, just as they exported their disastrous ideas on Net Zero and financial regulation. Canada, collapsing economically and politically, is following Brussels into the abyss.
Canada should not follow Europe on anything….Europe is circling the toilet like a corn studded log.
Like Canada, Europe is being left in the dust. Continental Europe’s share of global GDP has decreased from 25% in 1990 to 14%, indicating a significant economic decline and it continues to fall.

Here’s a little outlandish warning for Canada:
IF Canada all of a sudden decides to reform their legal system such that it is reflective of the EU, there will be a strong effort to name Canada “unofficially” a member of the European Union.
I know. It sounds insane. But, consider the history of the Prime Minister who is making all these singular changes with as much subtlety as possible. First, he matched up Green Policy with the EU (which, btw previously resulted in a 10 year stall on establishing a solid trade agreement with the EU via CETA). Additionally, polls are popping up to address this issue. The last one showed just under 50% of Canadians were not averse to joining the European Union. Only 34% were against that potential.
The standard defense to this is that it would be in direct violation of the Monroe Doctrine. It would. But, arguably, the Monroe Doctrine is only enforceable if the US decides to enforce it. The EU wants Canada’s raw materials, rare minerals etc. Canada (at least those in control) want diversification away from the US. Two years ago I would have said this is nonsense. Today, however, I could see the EU re-writing their bylaws to allow the inclusion of Canada (provided Canada switches to a compatible system of Common Law).

Commie, Wobbly Canoe here in MB has already jumped onboard with his Provincial digital medical ID in the form of a QR code, to replace the present paper ID. All voluntary, of course. Where have we heard that before?
