  1. You know, I miss my parents and I’d give anything to have them back … and then again, looking at this cruel joke of a country now, I wouldn’t want them to see what has become of the nation they fought and worked so hard for.

Canada: old dijinuss word meaning “disgustingly ridiculous”.

  2. Canada should definitely up its total military to about 1% of the population, 100,000 regular and 300,000 reserves. Canada will have a serious problem should full mobilization be required. It would even take a couple years to turn 400,000 troops into 4 million somewhat useful troops. Add another year on if you’re starting with 100,000 total.

I see Canadian soldiers, in all their obesity, wearing camouflage uniforms in offices and at public events looking every bit like the bags of shit that nice Airborne sergeant, who taught this poor reservist, said we were. Probably 3/4 of the military would be dead within a day of exposure to the enemy. How would civil servants with a week of training do? My father spent 4 years practicing before anyone shot at him.

  3. I can see where the argument could/will? be made that these personnel will staff support positions and not engage in any warfighting.
Problem: you have a distinct lack of warfighting capability, and the sort of clerical/healthcare/intel work performed by the military is different from their civilian counterparts. It would take more than a week to catch people up to speed even in those haft of the spear positions, and it would take more than a week’s training each year to keep them up to speed. And on top of that those voluntolds, with even lowered standards of service entry!, are completely disincentivized to become proficient in those roles from the sound of it. What an absolute joke.

This is what happens when you don’t spend money on your defense forces, and what paltry sums you do have aren’t spent well.

I remember my family elders giving you Canadians some credit for your military as being capable of punching above your weight (they remembered you with some fondness from Europe and Korea); how the small but mighty have fallen.

  4. The fact that the Canada military is led by a woman who has never fired a shot in combat is a tell, and that she is a DEI selection. IDF female soldiers actually fly planes, have tank crews etc. but even the IDF doesn’t have a woman running things.

The US promoted some dubious clowns under Obama and Biden, but Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth is wisely re-assigning them or letting them go.

Just curious? What does the Canadian Military see as its three biggest threats? Global Warming. Trump???

    1. How has the Canadian military historically been used? That’s your focus (perhaps a very bad focus, but it is what it is).
And you and the Anzacs are ill prepared, as is your mother country.
And the people of my country are souring on the ‘special relationship’. Have fun.

  5. More proof how broken Can Ahh Duh is.
Why are we paying federal taxation to a bunch of clowns who have betrayed us so brutally?
Canada once was able to mobilize war fighters..because the citizenry used guns every day and believed in a good greater than their own.
    Both lost to the past.
All hail the State of Thuggery.
It has been an amazing experience to observe as a high trust society has decayed back to tribal corruption..
    Ain’t Kleptocracy Grand?
Will the Nation about to emerge from Western Canada, learn any lessons from Canada’s demise?
Or will we rinse and repeat the same madness?

  6. Canadian Alarmed Forces.

So General Carpet Muncher and the Chair Force in DND HQ think people who don’t want to go to the office to work, who get more sick days, leave with pay days, my-kid’s-an-asshole-I-mean-autistic days and boohoo-for-me days than anyone else in the country’s workforce, would make a credible reserve force.

Now I finally know what our last Prime Minister, the gay negro, meant when he said Canada was a post-nation.

  7. After a decade of degenerate governance why would the military be any different than the rest of the deranged dominion. There is no longer representative government for taxpayers, only minorities and voting blocks. Why would we want a military when we can replace them with Jihadis who apparently share the same values as the Jacobins and Bolsheviks at the top of the criminal enterprise masquerading as government. No fictional writer could get a book published that tried to describe Canada today due to its over the top incredible farse.

  8. IMO, the primary reason that the Canadian military struggles with recruitment is because the social contract between the federal government and citizens is broken.

The blatant lying, cheating and stealing at the federal political and bureaucratic level has been out of control for a decade. It’s obvious to any Canadian who does not have their eyes tightly closed shut that the Canadian government is working for their own personal gain at Canadian workers and taxpayer’s expense. Actually running the country efficiently to serve the best interests of Canadians seems the last thing on Liberal politicians to-do list, a side gig at best. The social contract between government and taxpayers was supposed to be that we pay taxes and those taxes are used to improve the lives of Canadians and build Canada, not wildly spending tax money to build up politicians personal bank accounts and improve the lives of everyone in the world except Canadians.

The military has been particularly affected by the neglect and corruption of the government. The actual soldiers are underfunded, under equipped and treated like garbage if they become injured (offered MAID instead of assistance, for example). Meanwhile the top brass is more engaged in cultural politics instead of increasing military morale, modern equipment or operational training. Another broken social contract.

Once the social contract is broken, as it clearly is, many parts of society break down – military, policing, giving to charities, etc, Good luck fixing that shattered trust.

  9. The fact they retracted the entire preposterous idea within two days
indicates Political Trial Balloon and a real fear of something,
    likely We The People.

The fact that hard documents exist revealing Eleventeen Star General Jennie
and a DEI Minister are the authors of this idea/hallucination
indicates the lowest possible competence in adult thinking.

    Liberals are literal retards
    and becoming worse.

  10. There is no chance of trust between the Gov’t of Canada and the citizenry being repaired. This didn’t happen over the past decade, for some of us it’s all we’ve ever known from the feds.

“If”, and I use that with intent, If Canada were to actually “decree” they’ll be needing a standing military of 100k, and 300k of reservists, the rollout to that plan would require YEARS of preparation, sourcing materials, building the equipment Canada says it needs, and having it delivered to people who are new to the military, and who had been brought up in a life of entitlement opposed to having something to fight for.

The enemy which Canadians will be fighting against? Does that enemy look a lot like those people the federal gov’t has worked towards being friendly with in China? Strange that! The entirety of Canada’s federal gov’t is a psy-opp to simply get us to pay more taxes and die before we need actual healthcare.

Canada doesn’t have the money for this without canceling all other discretionary spending. The feds have a plan to spend $100 Billion on submarines as for the moment there is only 1 functioning sub in Canada’s Navy, probably on the east coast of the longest coastline in the world… far, far, from the west coast where Canada is importing its fentanyl supply from the east. The Navy’s new ships are YEARS away from being complete. Someone should tell the feds you go to war with the military you have, not the military you wish for.

Idiots. The entirety of Canada’s federal gov’t. Idiots.

    1. The plan is for HMCS Windsor to go into an seven to eight year refit run by the ‘prime contractor’. The east coast naval repair facility (HMC Dockyard) used to do a complete 22 month refit on the Oberons.
