Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Highly recommend Billy’s live shows.
I’ve been to around 10 and never been disappointed.
I spent most of my concert going career going to genres other than bluegrass, and had gotten used to a band’s sets being the same from show to show, and even mostly tour to tour except for incorporating a new album.
He and his band are so talented that I haven’t seen more than a couple songs played 2 or 3 times, and they always end up ripping up a lot of amazing covers and jams of songs you wouldn’t expect.
Billy’s got the goods, and his bandmates, too.
He is making bluegrass great again and attracting huge audiences,
It’s ironic that earlier, innovative bluegrass players couldn’t achieve such success.
Thinking about Tony Rice, Sam Bush, and the “newgrass” era, although many of them, like Bela Fleck and Jerry Douglas, have gained some deserved notoriety.
As for Billy, he seems to be a solid guy. Check out his interview with Rick Beato.
Keep on pickin’ and a grinnin’ ya’ll. I now feel like grabbin’ my Martin and pickin’ some Doc Watson.
PS, Billy likes Martins, as did Tony Rice.
