Lots of reports that it was on fire during takeoff.
Heartbreaking images coming out of Kentucky tonight.

25 people are reportedly trapped following crash and explosion of UPS cargo plane in Louisville, Kentucky.
Per LMPD scanner traffic, victims are believed to be at 4564 Knopp Avenue.
This one looks bad.

Initial story is the building it hit had an auto parts store, and there are employees and customers of the store that casualties of the crash. The pictures make the building look bigger, so I hope it wasn’t a whole group of stores.

My common sense, empirical knowledge suggests this isn’t normal. I don’t have a large recollection of cargo planes burning and EXPLODING on take off. My initial reaction is; exploding lithium ion batteries or terrorism.
Any Detroit area shipments on this plane?
Did the left engine decontstruct?
Sure seems that way. They found it on the runway. It has an Amercan Airlines 191 vibe to it.
The dashcam video from the truck in the yard is insane.
Here’s a view of a truck driver’s reaction
Very similar to that accident, nigh on 50 years later, the engine separated from the wing in that one, due to using a forklift instead of a crane and expediting the engine swap procedures. several aircraft were later inspected to find stress cracks in the wing to pylon mounts from this..

One of these incidents every 50 years still certifies this isn’t quite a “normal” happenstance. Raising my suspicion. Oh well, I am sure the NTSB will sort it all out … and I’m sure they won’t label the incident as an accident out of fear of Islamophobia or anything … like the FBI.
