UPS Cargo Plane Crash in Louisville

Lots of reports that it was on fire during takeoff.

25 people are reportedly trapped following crash and explosion of UPS cargo plane in Louisville, Kentucky.

Per LMPD scanner traffic, victims are believed to be at 4564 Knopp Avenue.

This one looks bad.

  1. Initial story is the building it hit had an auto parts store, and there are employees and customers of the store that casualties of the crash. The pictures make the building look bigger, so I hope it wasn’t a whole group of stores.

  2. My common sense, empirical knowledge suggests this isn’t normal. I don’t have a large recollection of cargo planes burning and EXPLODING on take off. My initial reaction is; exploding lithium ion batteries or terrorism.

    Any Detroit area shipments on this plane?

      1. Sure seems that way. They found it on the runway. It has an Amercan Airlines 191 vibe to it.

        The dashcam video from the truck in the yard is insane.

          1. One of these incidents every 50 years still certifies this isn’t quite a “normal” happenstance. Raising my suspicion. Oh well, I am sure the NTSB will sort it all out … and I’m sure they won’t label the incident as an accident out of fear of Islamophobia or anything … like the FBI.
