No-one will touch the Keystone Pipeline without a US Government financial guarantee. Fool me twice? Fool me thrice?
I want to make several points:
1- I do not believe that Carney et al have the slightest interest in restarting the Keystone pipeline in part or in whole. Nothing in his past, and nothing in what he has said recently, suggests that he would support any pipeline from Alberta to market. Instead, I think his party is working with the indigenous peoples to make sure that the liberals can announce pipeline support In western Canada while preventing any being built.
2 – There is a way Alberta could get keystone restarted and finished without any federal support. On this, please see my submission to the Alberta next panel at paul530.substack.com .
