    Worst of all, everything said in it is true. Canadians are smug, arrogant, know-it-alls that have hidden behind the American skirt since the end of the Korean conflict. As I have mentioned in previous posts; they are like the obese, purple-haired lesbian poetry graduate living in Mom and Dad’s basement that constantly berates Mom and Dad for not being woke enough. Xe/Xer demands more and more and when Mom and Dad suggest Xe/Xer get a job, becomes violently irate at how unfair they are. Mom and Dad have had enough

    Canadians are perhaps stupid. But, you know who the stupidest people are? Those Albertans (and any other Westerners) that must cling to the red fleur-de-lis no matter what. That have the path to freedom and prosperity there in front of them but behave like a stunned deer in the headlights.

  9. 100% unfixable. It’s dead. the one thing the writer misses, is the USA will last far longer than he suspects. If you are paying attention, you can see a grand bargain has been reached. The USA gets the Americas, the Russians get Europe, and China gets the East. Once again, we are luckier than we deserve. Taiwan and Australia? Sucks to be them, but that’s geography. Get used to chop sticks with your barby, mates.

    Then they will Not See.

    Bankrupt,defenceless,naked and ugly too,so helpless that the US president felt it necessary to offer protection.
    His reward was the most amazing tantrum of the public,by our Eastern Comrades, that I have enjoyed in decades.

    The author might as well have written this about California. We are a State that is facing a steep decline. Like Canada … EVERYTHING is more costly, and driving the consumer to hibernate. The cost of living here is stifling growth. And the leftists who dominate this State as a supermajority political force … and their gollum-Governor … all blame Trump for every ill.

    And if the propagandized retards in this State actually vote YES on Prop. 50 tomorrow … the 40% of Republicans in this State will end up with 6% actual Representation. Yeah, it feels like a doom loop to me. No way out. No off-ramp. Nobody will wake up when they’ve all died of stupidity.

  14. The author of that article is under the mistaken impression that Americans (the average ones) loved having an ’empire’. We never did — and honestly, it wasn’t really our empire we were upholding, now was it really?
    No, we’re quite happy not doing that anymore; it doesn’t benefit us.

    We’re going back to the old rules (that part they got right, somewhat). And if things turn out, then we’ll be fine for at least a while longer.
    At least now, if we go down, we get to do so as ourselves.

  16. The trend in all of western civilization is towards socialism. Canadians tend more towards it, Alberta slightly less so, USA maybe slightly less so again. Not too many regions can pretend to be righteously conservative. You want to reverse this disastrous trend you’ll have to take back the education system and start teaching kids the evils of communism. Good luck.

    Just watching all the “gimme my ebt” (42 million people on gov food programs) videos in the states tells me this is not an isolated problem.

    The solution is not gonna be easy or pretty. Just too many people that are indoctrinated into getting fed by their keepers.

    1. It was Pearson and Turd Sr. that put Canada on this trajectory, the rest have merely slowed or accelerated in the same direction.   20. Kanada is a prime example of what happens when the residents accept and worship the government as their god.
    The previous two generations, not the Boomers, started the welfare state after the Second World War. In order to keep the Ponzi scheme going the government has to take full control, hence it presents itself a god. The Boomers with their high numbers and lack of reproducing caused it all to crash.

    We had no power, no running water, no tv, so politics was discussed at the table. So raised by parents and neighborhood parents whom fought in WW2, I guess now I was raised a racist child. If you wanted money for better stuff go out and earn it. Every adult in the Neighborhood knew and talked about the destruction of Canada since 1960. All you have to do is look into whom was elected.
