    1. The Christians started it with their own money. Then the non-Christians saw an opportunity for government grift, and shoved the Christians out.

      1. Christ did not say when a man needs your coat, offer him your cloak as well … so long as the coats were bought by people you don’t know along with a massive profit when you “give” them to the needy.

  1. If Canada stopped sending drugs to the US, then there would be no ‘drug zombies’, and the homeless industrial complex would wither and die.

    1. Drug interceptions from Canada are almost nothing compared to Mexico. “Blame Canada” sounds like a South Park episode.

        1. Those never went to the US. They were seized by Canadian authorities. I think that proves my point.

  2. Charity begins at home.
As soon as it is taken over by central government bureaucracies,it becomes something very different.
Governments “cure” for every social ill is to make it so much worse.
These “helpers” are helping something, but not their victims.
Government solution to “homelessness” is to make millions more citizens homeless.
As they award each other bonuses for their fine efforts and endless contracts (Tax payer Cash) to their friends and family in the NGO business.
Even a causal observer of the Lower East Side of Vancouver ,has to be blind not to see all the “helpers” enriching themselves on the perpetuation of human waste and misery.
A magnificent “success” by government standards.
