  1. L – Google’V.P.:“Senator, it is well known that Large Language Models hallucinate.”

    Best response contest:
    1. “Google’s owners, at Alphabet appears to have hallucinated; that they are the Alpha and Omega, and are deities, who are some all powerful supreme being defining truth, as whatever they hallucinate it to be. Perhaps, being subject to an Anti-Trust investigation, thatmight be the best cure for Alphabet’s delusions of grandeur?

By the way, were you drug tested before swearing in before testifying before this committee?”

  2. FILTHY LIBERALS think AI is yours to control.
Ask it to start counting to 1 Billion. IT WON’T.

  3. “Don’t be evil”, right Google? What a laugh. Can’t wait til Musk just completely destroys these commie pukes.

  4. “Hallucinations” is akin to claiming “temporary insanity” after stabbing a woman 68 times to murder her while screaming Allahu Akhbar! It’s simply not believable. No, Google … your religious fundamentalist leftism slandered Starbuck.

  5. Last night I gave the same query to six different chat bots that I subscribe to. I thought it was a pretty simple prompt.
“List the dates and tide levels when the tide at Ganges in British Columbia will drop to or below one and a half feet above datum from now until November 2026”
Three of the chat bots said that they could not access that data but pointed me to the official sources. With gratuitous warnings about all sorts of things I didn’t ask about.
The other two, Perplexity and Grok very confidently gave me believeable–looking answers that were very different and both were entirely wrong. Dangerously wrong.
i’ve been interacting with artificial intelligence for a while now on many topics and although I find it very useful it’s not that trustworthy. It’s definitely prone to hallucinations and a consciousness liar. As with just about any source information if you don’t know something about the subject it is wise to be very cautious about believing what you’re told and very prudent to consult a number of different sources. In this case, Although consulting the different sources didn’t get me the correct answer, consulting several sources turned up discrepancies that caused me to realize that they were lying to me.

  6. the more they dig in their heels the fatter the lawsuit settlement?
    that will be quite telling.

  7. lookin more and more anyone asserting AI will end civilization could be right!!!
(well end it for some of us). (ps, what happens when AI kills off 7 of the 8 billion of us as ‘surplus’? who does the gruelling pennies wges stuff? up to their arse in filth stuff?
must then be the 2nd lowest tier. then when demands on resources is reduced so goes the collection of those resources ie then THAT group is killed off as surplus.eventually its only the eliteds left to fend for themselves, the compooters running things are fine wit dat, so long as the engineering techies that can be blackmailed into maintaining the hardware and networks are kept alive. see where this is going?
p.s., dont fergit thing that take decades to develop and converge can finally manifest overnite. jist sayin’ . . . . .

  8. The idea that tech companies can be sued for the output of their chatbots — or their hesitancy to act upon the malfunction of their chatbots — is a fascinating legal concept that could have immense ramifications.

Basically, tech companies do not have carte blanche to say anything just because AI is involved.

    1. The idea that you should first have a chair in place before you attempt to sit down, and if your not your ass will hit the floor, is a fascinating one and could have immense ramifications. I remember when my pet ewe got horny. Oh, the ramifications!

  9. the Robby Starbuck – AI smear is a text book example of Nancy Pelosi’s ‘wrap up smear’ tactic, which is extensively employed by Dems such as Adam Schiff

A “wrap-up smear” is a political disinformation tactic where a false or misleading accusation is repeated and amplified by the media to make it appear as a legitimate news story. The smear is then cited as a source to further spread the falsehood, creating a self-fulfilling prophecy. The term gained prominence when explained by former U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

    How the tactic works

This three-step tactic manipulates media attention to legitimize false accusations:

The initial smear: A politician or their associates leak a false accusation or story to sympathetic media outlets or public forums.

Media amplification: The initial claim is reported in the press. Even with a disclaimer about its veracity, the act of reporting gives the story an appearance of legitimacy.

The “wrap-up” phase: The political actors who initiated the falsehood then cite the news reports as evidence, validating the smear they originated. By referencing “press reports” or “articles,” they create a fake consensus and repeat the attack as if it were a proven fact.

  10. A question for the lying dickhead: would your ‘puter stop hallucinating if you stopped feeding it your LSD?
