  1. A half truth still contains a lie, and our government relies on its citizens being less disturbed by a half truth as opposed to an outright lie. We are being gaslit on a daily basis, and most government announcements are a long distance or infinitely separated from any objective truth.

  2. Makes you wonder…
Could one install a solar farm, and add diesel generators. But just sell the diesel power (as solar power, thus getting a higher price) all the while deducting the cost of diesel fuel as a business expense?

And when there is a power surplus, turn off the diesels, and just collect the fees paid to solar farms to not produce power.

There’s got to be a way to scam this in a Democrat state.

  3. Not sure where I heard this but, it seems that the soil in the areas covered by solar panels becomes essentially sterile due to the fact that the organisms within that soil die off.
Can someone verify or refute that info?

  4. I went to a presentation sponsored by PEO, one of the presenters being a Electrical Engineering prof, specialty being semi conductor materials. He had done all the calculations to estimate the amount of energy needed to manufacture a solar panel. Basically his conclusion was that most panels will never produce the energy to replace what was needed to make them in the first place. This was back in 2008, so they likely have achieved some efficiencies, but most installations are not ideal, even ideal installs are at best 25% capacity factors. The bottom line is it takes energy to melt sand and turn it into silicon semi conductor material and glass. Greenies make arguments based on nameplate capacity which is ridiculous.
