They did play Chooglin’ at the concert, amazing the stamina to play like that for 8 minutes straight, at his age, i’m lucky to get 5 min at mine and I’m not even a musician!

If you haven’t seen it, watch Beato’s video where he comments on the music and isolated voice tracks of Boston’s “More than a Feeling”. That’s why I love the 70’s era so much: musicianship. Today, everyone is just a performer. Huge difference. Autotune, computer generation/manipulation, no soul.
I think it’s a relief to be interviewed by Rick Beato after a few years of the average musician’s career having to answer to, “what’s the craziest thing you’ve done in your hotel room”… type of question.
Really enjoyed Beato’s interviews with George Benson (recorded at his house), Al Di Meola (recorded at his house) and with Police drummer Stewart Copeland who in a general conversation, “has a lot to say” …
Pretty impressive that he can still belt it out like that at 80 years old, for sure.
Love his music.
Just remember he’s a typical musician.
His politics are somewhere left of Jane Fonda. But at least he keeps a little muzzled
Reminds me of when I took my old man to see Kris Kristofferson in Edmonton several years back. Between every song he had to chime in with his hatred for Bush/Cheney. I had to bite my tongue several times to not yell out, “shit up and sing, you’re at the River Cree Casino in Edmonton….half the crowd couldn’t give a crap about your politics”.

Hey! I saw the Credence Clearwater Revisited at the Thunder Valley Indian Casino in Lincoln, CA. Stu Cook and Doug Clifford (both great) … but no John Fogerty? No dice.
Hey! My own little town … “out in the country” … gets a mention right at the start of the interview. It’s where Stu Cook was living when his Lawyer dad said the one-sided contract with Fantasy Records was good to go. Yes, we have had quite a few rock stars living out here “in the country” over the years. It’s a very nice place to live … esp. before all the leftists invaded the place after their failed multi-culti invasion made the city schools unsuitable for white leftist children.
We saw John at the saddledome, a while ago, he had his son with him on that tour, great old songs!
My favorite Fogerty song is Sweet Hitch-Hiker off the CCR Mardi Gras album, Bootleg, a close second.
