  1. … convicted of supplying cannabis …

Come on mon… dat’s I’m medicine. Dat’s I’m culture! Respect I’m culture!! Don be so white.

  2. Did not realize that Jamaica suppressed human rights? Asylum seeker? He’s a refugee? From Jamaica? What unfair persecution did our friend face in Jamaica?
There are legitimate people who are in danger and there are those that are fraudsters. I think I know which one this is.

    1. I thought Jamaica has become a FREE, INDEPENDENT country no longer under the boot heel of the British Commonwealth? Life should be all bananas, sugar, and da ganja!? Why would this man leave?

      1. I was in Kingston about 15 years ago doing some work with my sister who for decades volunteered with an order of Catholic brothers who care for the aged, infirm and disabled in the community. You don’t walk around Kingston by yourself or without a firearm. When the meter reader comes by and does his thing he’s carrying.

        1. I had a stop in Jamaica while on a cruise about 15-20 years ago. Let’s just say the tourists were being eyeballed by every man between the age of 16 and 46 … with criminality in their eyes. We were advised to NOT stray from the tourist stops. And I have an even longer detailed story about being ‘almost’ robbed (or worse) … but I won’t go into that here.

OTOH … I have a relative (and his wife) who actually live in Saskatchewan now … who are raging leftists who cancel out all of Kate and Lance’s votes … but were in the Peace Corps in Jamaica in the early 1970’s. They operated a pig co-op in a small village. They LOVED the place and the people who they claimed were the most beautiful Caribbean black people by far. They routinely went to Kingston … and actually loved the Playboy Club of all things. It was a beautiful country back then.
