They say it can’t happen. You need informed consent. We saw just how much Canadian medicine respects ethics like informed consent during the plandemic. It’s entirely safe and effective, stays in your arm, stops the pandemic, and it’s entirely your choice to take it or not but if you don’t, no job and an assortment of other onerous consequences. Some commenters will strenuously disagree with this, but I do think there is a place for MAID. I have direct experience with 2 cases. One was a turbo pancreatic cancer that promised an agonizing month or so, and the other was the prospect of a life of ongoing pain and all options had been exhausted over a number of years of trying. In both cases there were strict protocols followed and the individuals and their families were treated with respect and dignity.
Yes, there may be cases of abuse of the system, and that is regrettable, but hopefully these are rare. Is there any process in in our society that is not abused by desperate or warped people?

The trick is to fence in, limit, that power so that its use is rare as you suggest.
