  1. Canadas transcontinental railway, arguably Canadas only national achievement, was constructed by 10,000’s of Chinese slaves who died under the whip and were buried beside the tracks while snotty English engineers took credit.

    1. Are 16,300 of them buried in a schoolyard near Kamloops?

“17,000 Chinese men came to Canada to work as labourers on the construction of the western section of the transcontinental railroad…It appears that approximately 700 of them were killed in industrial accidents largely due to unsafe working conditions.”

      1. The buried lede is that 95% of them were okay! I doubt it was a much better percent for white laborer’s in any occupation during that time.

I know that the kill ratio for electrical linemen in that same time period was about 33%

  2. Guilbeault is a friggin first class idiot. A liberal moron (BIRM)

  3. Canada of 1867 was simply a union of its components. Denying its existence before 1867 serves no useful purpose. While the components had slavery it was almost irrelevant because the economics of slavery was not good in the subsistence agriculture economy that was Canada of the late 1700s and early 1800s. Canada was among the first places on earth to ban slavery. Just be proud of that. Mind you we still import brown skinned people to do shit work for next to nothing.

  4. Funny how all government references to slavery in Canada forget to mention that it was the process of Confederation that was the catalyst for the liberation of slaves held by west coast Indian tribes.

  5. In his defence, he is French. He wouldn’t know much history other than the history of Lower Canada, which had abolition forced on them in 1834 by the British.

BTW, “Nigre”, is still used to describe people of African decent in many parts of Quebec.

      1. The politically correct term for a black person in Spanish is “Subsaharianos”, although I’ve never heard that expression used, mostly either Negrito (black male), or Negrita (black female), essentially Negro and Negress..

  6. Strange that he didn’t mention the celebrated Indian chief Joseph Brant had a black slave.

  7. Guibeault isn’t talking to us…he’s talking to your basic run of the mill, sh** for brains Canadian, of which there are many who’ll lap it up like the dullards they are because the media/ government would never lie to them.
The same ones who think Mike Myers should be featured in a Canadian Heritage Minute.
The same ones who think Trump will have them arrested simply for being Canadian should they set foot on U.S. soil.
I wish I was kidding. This country is so lost.

  8. The English translation of this idiots name is Gullible.
CAGW salesmen are all self identified idiots.
For if you buy Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming, there is no product you will not buy.
    So Guibeault,thats Gullible in English,is a true believer,rather than a shakedown artist.
    And yes Canada had slavery.
Our “We Were Here First” Peoplekind had a real fondness for enslaving those they did not murder.

  9. As a K-becer, Guilbeault should stick to the “white niggers of North America” theme and help the Asshole of Canada become independent.

  10. “True North Wire – Guilbeault blasted for misrepresenting Canada’s history with slavery.“

    In other words he lied.

  11. We should celebrate the fact that slavery was abolished throughout the British Empire in 1834. Even before this, judges in Britain and what is now Canada were suppressing slavery by refusing to recognize such ownership. And Upper Canada abolished slavery in 1793 (actually, phase it out).

This far-sighted act was then emulated by other developed nations in the following decades. Unfortunately, slavery remained an institution elsewhere.

    1. The Arab world was (and still is) BIG into slavery. Come to think of it, so were our so-called “First Nations”.

    2. Thanks for contributing nothing relevant to the discussion.

You know what is relevant? The Underground Railroad. This is where blacks were travelling North out of the US, largely to Nova Scotia.

Mebbe someone can let that pointed headed Hans Gruber idiot know that history, rather than making shit up to fit their vaporous narrative.

  12. Guilbeault is a mental case…that’s why he was so close to Trudeau…who is another mental case. Seems to be a trait among Liberals.

  13. As I said earlier. The Department of Canadian Heritage is just a different title for the Ministry of Truth

  14. “Who will pick our coal?”
Guilbeault lies for a living. Why would today be any different?
