CBC- Almost 70% of Indigenous tourism businesses in Canada are reporting a drop in U.S. bookings
Dean Werk, the Métis owner of Great River Fishing Adventures, which operates on the Fraser River in B.C., said his business has lost about $250,000 this season since U.S. President Donald Trump’s trade war began.

“Donald Trump’s trade war”? Who writes this nonsense. PDJT announced increased Tariffs to ALL of America’s trading partners who were ALREADY waging trade war against the USA.
The strategic purpose was to FORCE those nations to take trade negotiations seriously. Without the threat of RECIPROCAL tariffs we would have been told to pound sand. Elbows out!
The media are fools and tools.
And wha! wha! Whaaaaaat!? I thought it was Florida that was going to see their tourism crater because Canada Strong elbows or something?
Who pulled whose liquor off the shelves?
Joe the fish likes his drink.
Begging for Butter.
And just like that, Clown Carney brings the US to its knees.
Might also be that most Trump voters are “anti-woke”, and “woke” seems like what’s going on with Canada’s relationship with the indigenous… I mean street signs that are not capable of being pronounced?
Why punish ourselves?
Because self-importance, vanity and preening smug superiority are important liberal values, whereas self-ridicule and international scorn don’t seem to register.

Not exactly a recent development. Over the last ten years, I’ve talked to many Americans who say they “used” to go to Canada to fish and hunt but don’t anymore. Mostly due to too many costly regulations.
Is the hierarchy placing First Nations tourism above the Quebec dairy cartel? or is this only a temporary measure?
No need to pick a winner here, just enjoy the show.

I feel sincerely terrible for the business owners. But surely the Elbows Up Boomers will do their part and spend oodles of their excess money on such activities?! Wouldn’t it be the patriotic thing to do??? Buy Canadian!!!
I’ll buy Canuck when I can, and patronizing FN fishing camps hasn’t made my “must do” list.
C’est dommage.
Now do hunting businesses and how they’ve been adversely affected by the Trudeau Hoplophbia.
Now that Dean Werk really needs to find a fellow named Kraft and form a folk duet called Kraft Werk.
Makes me wonder how the non-Indigenous guys who don’t get a Special Deal from the province are doing.
What American with a grain of sense would go to the Frazer River instead of Alaska? If you go to Alaska you can bring your rifle and all your other doodads. Canada? Nope-nope-nope! Plus the snotty border crossing weenies, that’s a special kind of irritating.
Elbows up!
Plus in AK you can carry some pretty heavily calibered sidearms as last-ditch grizzly protection and in Canada that was outlawed by castreau’s father-in-name-only.
I’m hearing it’s more than hunting and fishing trips being canceled. Rumours that many Canadian products and services are being passed over by Americans. The elbows up boycott Canadians started have had some unexpected consequences.
Most Americans are fine with canucks, but these idiot liberal governments have fractured many breaking points. And no wonder. Guess this country’s Peoplekind will have to endure.
Side note: are you sure you want to publish an email with your WordPress ID? That could get ugly.
