Judicial Watch announced a $4.975 million settlement today in the wrongful death lawsuit against the U.S. Government filed on behalf of the family of Ashli Babbitt, the U.S. Air Force veteran who was shot and killed inside the U.S. Capitol by then-Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd on January 6, 2021. Ashli Babbitt was the only January 6 homicide victim.
“This fair settlement is a historic and necessary step for justice for Ashli Babbitt’s family. Ashli should never have been killed, and this settlement destroys the evil, partisan narrative that justified her outrageous killing and protected her killer,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Judicial Watch’s team spent years investigating, litigating, and exposing the truth about Ashli’s homicide. And credit goes to the hundreds of thousands of Judicial Watch members who supported this cause! President Trump was an absolute rock in supporting Ashli’s family and advocating for justice!”

She wasn’t killed she was murdered.
In cold blood.
There were cops with AR’s right behind her almost in reach when that coward executed her.
Yeah … good and all … esp. for the Lawyers. But. The murderer walks around breathing as a free man. Perhaps he’s searching for Ashley’s murderer on a golf course in Florida … like OJ did?
Welcome to 2-Tier justice.
L – Justice is served ! May she rest in peace.
Was the cop who murdered Ashley Babbitt one of those who was pardoned by Joe Biden?
He was never charged….he was cleared by Biden’s Dept of “Justice”.
It was quite the marvel watching how the media portrayed Chauvin compared to Byrd.
The next time one of the ladies of The View declare that “people were killed on Jan. 6th!”, I wish someone would speak up and say “yeah, but all four were Trump supporters and two of them were killed *by police*.
Is Michael Byrd on the hook for any of that?
Hell, he’s a liberal hero. Probably has a statue somewhere.
There will no justice for Ashlee until the asshole who shot her is tried, convicted and jailed for life.
He is a coward who hid while shooting an unarmed veteran.
