Sun- Liberals’ clean energy crusade has been a super disaster
Achieving the Liberals’ 2030 target will require the equivalent of eliminating all annual emissions from Canada’s transportation and building sectors in seven years, which would inevitably cause a massive recession.
The best way to deal with Liberal lunatic policies is to simply ignore them en mass. Government by the consent of the governed is the principle to adopt.
They know exactly where to hit you.. in the wallet. Don’t like their ICE ban? Good luck. You can buy used.. for a while. But eventually they will just ban the sale of used ICE vehicles. They don’t give a fuck man. They will crater the economy completely with the adoring holier than thou Easterners voting them in over and over again. They are our moral and intellectual superiors, as Kate says.
There’s literally nothing we can do, short of voting with your feet. Either emigrate to the US or another real country (AB will never be independent – I would dearly love to be wrong about that).
One can’t cause a recession while already in a recession. And one that never ends at that.
Progressive policies have been the ONLY cause of the decline of our economic output, the destruction of entire industries, our plummeting standards of living, our approaching third-world health care, our ballooning deficits, our astronomical debt, the dumbing down of the people, the drug epidemic, the rise of fascism, and the tsunami of population-replacing low/no skill foreigners.
Amazingly, people still believe that all of this is just the result of foolish political beliefs, and that the cure is electing different politicians who will somehow tweak the existing system enough to restore normalcy.
I have long held the view that politics is gamed, and always has been. All parties work together to destroy us, but only at the speed we’ll accept b/c we can’t or won’t believe what’s happening to us. Politicians, media, academia, those who pretend to speak for science, and religions push us in the same direction – all in a coordinated manner. All are simply organs of the same octopus, each doing the bidding of the same people – our actual rulers.
I’d agree with your view. The powers that we see and those hidden from view are all globalists intent on levelling the standard of living of the whole world. Therefore the western world must be pulled down and the third world propped up. Stealing from the wealth creators to further this aim.

Why else would all domestic and global power and influence centers have destroying President Trump as their primary objective? It appears he is if not the only, then one of the very few they don’t control.
It’s referred to as The Uniparty. Controlled opposition. Notice in Europe, where the rot has gone farther, real opposition, even if with majority support, is kept out of power. Think The Harlem Globetrotter versus the Washington Generals. Entertaining fun but fixed. The policies remain the same.

All that they gleefully caused, which has only worsened under their totalitarian tomes, for which timid taxpayers are easily convinced via their scare tactics, with frustrated voters easily moved by hobgoblins like getting Trump.
Now the electorate has consented to be governed by plutocrats and their convenient communism redux.
Of course it’s all hot air, of the worst kind, extremist exhalations of malevolent, mendactic megalomaniacs.
As long as civil society fails to limit its excesses, we will witness societal and market failure ad nanny nauseum.
Seriously? Canada believes it can build millions of new homes to house their million man march toward multi-culturalism … without any emissions? Ohhhhh … so ALL the building will be outsourced to Communist China … floated to Canada on barges, pulled across country by horse and wagon, then assembled by hammer and nails (made in Communist China)?

A strong capitalist economy relies on abundant reliable affordable energy. By crippling the energy supply to “reduce emissions” they can usher in a communist utopia.
So do not accept for a minute any talk of emissions reduction, it only plays the game by their rules.

1997 Kyoto Protocol target six percent below 1990 levels by 2012. Missed, but we withdrew so whatever.
2009 Copenhagen Accord target seventeen percent below 2005 levels by 2020. Missed.
2015 Paris Agreement target fourty to fourty five percent below 2005 levels by 2030. Fourty five to fifty by 2035. Net zero by 2050. Care to guess how any of those are gonna go?
On international climate policy we’ve never met a target we’ve set, and we’re very, very good liars about our efforts.
But we have allowed $200 billion in grift off this, and that is all any of it is.

I don’t think the result of outlawing all viable sources of energy and collapsing the electricity distribution system could be called a recession. Societal collapse, maybe. Perhaps genocide, but I wouldn’t call it a recession. This criminal enterprise must be stopped.
