  1. ” … the Opposition opted to simply sit quietly in their seats …”

And that, folks, is pretty well what you can expect on any issue about liberty and freedoms.

    1. You’re exactly right. And that’s the problem. We do not have a functioning opposition in Canada, because the only successful politicians we have are part of a political class, who, regardless of their supposed political orientation resemble their peers in the legislature more than the people they represent. They are not people of strong moral or ethical character, and aren’t really passionate about anything at all – except for being electable and acceptable to their peers and the media. They are what C.S. Lewis called “men without chests”.

I’ve dealt with a couple of supposed “conservative” politicians here in Alberta, and found them to be pleasant, but deceitful, weak, vapid, and shallow.

I feel that we should pay our representatives a whole lot less to be members of parliament and lower the financial barriers to running. If we didn’t end up with better representation we would at least have a more interesting collection of people. I’d love to see a parliament peopled with eccentrics, former truck drivers, conspiracy theorists and the odd conceited millionaire who campaigned on some random, crazy issue. I believe that the country as whole would be better off.

  2. There’s enough in this one bill to just publicize it well to those on the fence over Alberta separation that is shtuld be worth a few points.

Thanx Marx Carnage… keep up the great work

  3. The Bill also allows for the RCMP to direct Canada Post to open your mail without a warrant. This Bill is about control and censorship of Canadians and a clear path to Carney getting his beloved CBDC’s, Central Bank Digital Currency which will give the Liberals complete control over what we buy, spend and try to save.

    1. If you read the actual bill, you’ll notice language that specifically includes open letters and group letters in the Canada Post provision. This is revealing, and shows that the provision is really about monitoring political activity in Canada.

      1. L – The strongest argument for Independence is that is the only way forward; where Canadians will retain the true meaning of Constitutional Rights. Before being elected

        P. M. Carney stated that he was willing to run Canada under the Emergencies Act. Which
is the “War Measures Act” in all but name. Soon an Iron Curtain will descend…

  4. I thought the Liberals were human rights people like Pierre Trudeau was. Is that the price paid for the support of the Bloc Fasciste in Quebec?

    1. True Dough I was a fan of Europe’ s failed painter’s 3rd Reich…….

Not the most human rights observing people in history.

  5. Huh? So … American Leftists are RESISTING the deportation of illegals by DEMANDING due process. But Canadian Leftists are demanding the elimination of due process afforded their own citizens?

Are ANY of you paying attention to the FASCIST Left!? Literally … By any means necessary. No matter how illogical and illegal.

  6. I’ve come to the conclusion that the feral left won’t stop until all free people are given slave status and the state will own us and our property.

    1. The elites can’t live their quiet lives of leisure, if they have to keep worrying about the hoi-polloi getting uppity and having ‘opinions’ and such. We definitely seem to be at the ‘bread and circuses’ stage of civilisation.
