    1. The state has no right nor moral directive to engage in foreign aid. The decision to donate the property or earnings of individuals to whomever is called charity and in any moral society an act of individual free will. The same applies internally with the “welfare state”. “Efficiency” is a side show and distraction from the implicit acceptance of the compelled theft involved and a more important consideration for individuals where choice is allowed. The status quo incestuous relationship between the state and “NGOs” is a form of stakeholder fascism.

  5. I know Andrew Coyne is universally despised here as is Steve Paikin. Coyne has a new book out which I’m reading, The Crisis of Canadian Democracy.

    The premise of the book is that ‘democracy’ exists in name only in Canada. We’ve gamed every institution and circumvented it’s tenants. The prime minister of Canada enjoys powers that exist in no other place.

    Anyway if you don’t want to by the book you can watch a YouTube interview by Paikin of Coyne on the book it’s available.

      When a rational person wants to know how the war in Ukraine is developing, they go to the Institute for the Study of War website and track terrirorial changes. When someone like Flinny the Fvckwit want an anti-Ukrainian fix, they go The Gateway Fvckwit and read how the Russians sunk a ship carrying munitions for Ukraine, killed 30 Western mercenaries, etc., etc.
