  1. “This is not something I have seen before or any of my colleagues have — especially when you consider someone used a weapon to cut meat. Usually, these weapons are used for intimidation purposes or to come away with something other than food,” Leaver continued.

That reminds me of a story a friend told me when he was shopping in an Alcampo mega supermarket in Spain many years ago.

He turned into an aisle and there was a group of Gypsy adults and children blocking his path and having a picnic right there.

He saw that the men were slicing off hunks of meat from the row of cured Jamon Iberico (Iberian ham) on display and passing it around.

He asked a store clerk about it and she said it happens from time to time and nothing is done about it.

    1. So if you’re not using a (banned) firearm to threaten and extort, but just to hunt for food, the police will be ok with that.

  2. ….Sgt. Andrew Leader.
    ….. Leaver continued.

With impending firearm confiscation we need Leaders and Leavers.

  3. A few days ago we were leaving our local Independent Grocery store off Boychuk Drive in Saskatoon and noticed a security guard following a young man who had a backpack. The security guard was taking pictures of him, following him to the edge of the property. This was likely a case of theft where no remedy is available to the store other than this. Logically this shouldn’t be happening but our sleepy polititians everywhere are blind about where this is going!

  4. Why didn’t dummy not just order a sandwich and just not pay.
I assume he stole the original “Tramontina” which cost $25.95.
Its ok to steal in Canada – its Whitey’s fault.

  5. Not to worry! Didn’t you read the article? He was released “with CONDITIONS.” I sure he is trembling now and contacting the government provided lawyer non-stop, concerned about the next steps and how he is going to be able to submit his next assignment in political science at UBC. Have heart.
