A Romanian friend of mine shared this article with me:
A country cannot defend democracy by destroying it. Nor can it combat interference by becoming the chief saboteur. These are not paradoxes. They are the political reality of post-election Romania in 2025, where the will of the people has been trampled by a union of technocrats, foreign intelligence pressure, and judicial fiat. This is not democracy. It is an imitation of democracy, engineered for optics and controlled outcomes.
The gents at the Lotus Eaters have noticed as well that not all is alright in Romania.

The Romanians have dealt harshly with their rulers of the past who did not treat them well. It remains to be seen how they’ll react this time round. You could say, “Christmas is coming” …
Heh…we could use some more Romanians around here.
Can you say “Char Chess Queue”
I dunno what the Romanians of today will do, but generally, the human race is a dumber, weaker species than we once were. It’s shameful …. ignorance and obesity are the Tyrant’s best friends.
“citing supposed “Russian interference” for which no persuasive evidence has been offered.”
The highest court of their land annulled an election with zero evidence of interference?
Show me the court papers where this is true. I have a friend who can translate.
I’d feel bad for Romania if we were not so totally fucked ourselves. I saw Tucker Carlson’s interveiw with Calin Georgescu a few weeks back. Highly recommended, he speaks pretty good English and chooses his words carefully. Google it and get it from the horse’s mouth, he knows they are getting screwed by the same globalists as every other country in Europe.

Romania was a better place when Dracula lived there.
In other words\;
Pro-EU Dan beats Trumpist Simion in Romania’s closely watched vote | DW News
The European Union, doing today what Hitler failed to accomplish.
The underlying issue of pretext-based disqualification is grave, but what’s left out of the argument is also telling: what that article doesn’t mention is that Simion, Georgescu’s replacement, has a long history of anti-Hungarian remarks and positions that bit him in the ass in the regions of the country still dominated by ethnic Hungarians. Not all lost elections are lost because someone rigged the vote. Any analysis of politics in any EU country that doesn’t factor in geographical ethnic tribalism, particularly in the East, is always missing at least half of what’s going on.
