1. A good metric to judge how civilized a people are is how they treat their children.
   In much of the west, we indoctrinate them with woke, chop off their genitalia and/or breasts, and kill them.

   2. “Marge” isn’t a child. The article deliberately plays with that assumption. She’s 28 (or 29 by now). The issue here is whether or not “Marge” is legally competent to make this decision.

      And if her only “diagnosis” is autism and ADHD, then she doesn’t have either. There’s rather a lot missing from this story, starting with how if she lives with her father and can’t function independently she managed to game the system to get her MAID application approved not once, not twice, but three times. Or how she’s up until 4 am every night and terminally online if she lives with her father.

3. There needs to he a requirement that for every person doing MAID, there must be either a medical practitioner or judge who has pushed this new treatment to participate equally in it. Equality in societies only makes it fair.
