  1. Separatists holding the balance of power. How ironic. Hopefully this will boost the 51st State movement.

    1. As others have pointed out, the BQ is the weirdest “separatist” movement in the history of the planet.

They know that they can’t maintain their fake economy more than eight months without constant massive cash infusions from the dying productive remains of Canada.

You have to be retarded to pretend to make sense of it. Being experts on that sort of pretense, I’m sure AllanS and UnMe can fill us in on the details.

      1. Yes, they’re not a “separatist” party, they’re a “supremacist” party.

    1. Sure they will. The Libs and the Bloc have the same anti-oil, climate change, big deficit policies.

      1. They don’t need the bloc. Liebs/NDP have enough right now to form a majority coalition.

  2. Jagmeet Singh is currently trailing by approx 250 votes in his Burnaby Central riding to the Conservative candidate. This might yet be the silver lining. I would have happily accepted a Liberal Majority if Jagmeet had gone down in flames.

    1. As of right now, Pierre is trailing in his own riding too. The one where they loaded up something like 90 candidates.

      1. All of the extra candidates have the same returning agent, and note they didn’t do the same thing is Carney’s riding (or any other one).

    2. As I wrote on an earlier thread, “Jagmeet Singh, a name which will live in infamy.”

    3. I see my MP, Heather “Miss Hamas” McPherson can count on qualifying for her pension soon. The slogan on her last brochure that she sent out was “Help keep the Conservatives out of Edmonton Strathcona”.

      Barf!

  3. Time to go. 120 years ago Laurier screwed Alberta and Saskatchewan. Time for retribution. I have not been keen on independence. I am now. Part either on our own or a negotiated admission to becoming the 51st state. Either looks better than this reality.

  4. How reassuring it will be to see the #Libranos having to bow to the representation from Quebec.
Somewhat short of a “fresh start” …

I do hope Aaron Gunn is elected north of Nanaimo BC “North Island Powell River” ? He’s trailing now and has had a few of his drug abuse films showcased here on SDA …

NDP leader Singh is running 3rd in Burnaby lol… behind both Conservative and #Libranos
Keean Bexte from The Counter Signal, his dad David Bexte has won his riding in AB at 80% of the vote atm…
People’s Party vote is under 1% so far… It’s not just the NDP who have collapsed

I can’t see this parliament lasting 4 years.

    1. I can’t see this parliament lasting 4 years.

It won’t. Carney acts like he’s PET 2.0 and old Pierre didn’t like it when he got a minority government. He had one in December 1972 and we went to the polls again in the summer of ’74. Canadians didn’t vote “correctly” in 1979 and the PCs were out in February 1980.

In both cases, PET got his coveted majority and he did whatever he bleedin’ well pleased after that.

Carnivore will do the same thing. I’m certain of that.

      1. Carney may call on the use of emergency powers for we are in a “crisis” of some and every kind of every description put forth by any local Leftist.

The “___________ crisis” gives him the power he needs to achieve WEF goals.

      2. The dippers have enough seats to give the liebs a majority coalition. They are leaderless right now, so the members could decide independently, but likely, they’ll be whipped into shape to do what the party leadership — whoever that may be — wants them to do.

If the dippers decide to support the liebs like they have in the past, Carnage can govern as if he has a majority.

    1. Looks like PP lost his own seat as well.

      That’s…terrible!

Maybe if the bastard would have actually been a small-c conservative, instead of Lieberal-lite, he’d still be in play.

        1. …then let me explain it to you.

If PP campaigned like a real conservative, he may have been a more popular candidate that the people in his riding would have voted for.
Does that mean something to you now? It’s really quite simple.

I may not totally agree with what DB said, but there is a certain level of reasoning that is quite easily comprehendible. Not sure how his point could have gotten over your head… oh, wait… Yeah… NOW I get it…

      1. “Maybe if the bastard would have actually been a small-c conservative, instead of Lieberal-lite, he’d still be in play.”

That would have required a set of testicles, which he clearly doesn’t have.

Not to worry, though…minority governments don’t tend to last long in Canada. Thankfully the NDP won’t be around to prop up Carney and the BQ certainly won’t do it. It will be interesting to see how Carney attempts to deal with Donald Trump; he spent the entire campaign boasting to Canadians about how tough he was and how he was going to ‘fight’ the American government. Go ahead, Mark…give it a shot.

        1. It’s well after 1 am Mountain time, Tuesday April 29th. The morning after, and as of this posting, the Liebs can govern as if they have a majority, because the decimated NDP still has garnered enough seats to push a potential coalition over the top into majority territory.

        2. The NDP (7) plus Liberals (167, maybe 170 after all the counting) will clearly have enough to form a coalition.

  5. I hear there is a separation rally to be held on May 3rd. in Alberta. I would welcome any information that any readers here can provide. I’ve had a standing joke with my better half about moving to Pincher Creek for the last thirty or so years, maybe it is not too late. I’ll have to move as I’d like to be part of either the new state or the new country. Probably take about two years to organize but I am willing to help in any way I can. Let’s roll up our sleeves and get it done.

      1. LOL, our textbook and typical sanctimonious “Canadian” accusing another of pretentions.

        U funny.

      2. …with at least 30% of support (some say that number is as high as 40%), and that’s as of RIGHT NOW, without a movement, or a leader.
Stop being so naive. It can happen.
You said in another thread that we should get rid of conservatism, and I agree. Canada can easily rid it’s curse of conservatism by letting Alberta go it’s own way.

        –the REAL fc.

    1. 91 scared the shit out of everyone.

It’s now 60% +1 which will never happen. Confederation remains, and always will be, a firehose of $ pointed at Quebec.

  6. He kept his riding.

Although it would’ve been ironic if the liberals drove around sounding their horns all night in celebration.

I am interested to see if he stays on as leader. If not Poillievre, maybe they can give Charest another kickat the cat. Too old? There’s always queen Kenny.

I’m now breathlessly waiting for the opinion of American expats Peterson and Saad, gloating from their gilded estates.

    1. I do not approve of your suggested replacements. Charest? Kenney? Why do you want Canada to become a one-party state?

      –the REAL fc.

    2. I just checked. Elections Canada site is down for some reason, but I managed to check another source and as of this writing, Fanjoy is still leading in Carlton by more than 3000 votes, so if you’re saying that PP kept his seat, that may be a little premature.

      –the REAL fc.

    3. 96% of the polls in Carleton riding are in and Poilievre is still down by 3,000 votes (3.8%)
      03:45 EDT on Tuesday morning.

Will Pierre try to stay on as leader?
Conservative civil war in the making?

  7. I’m not surprised at all by the results. I did try emailing my local MP several times saying they needed to change course with their campaign, but they doubled down with their support for Ukraine and chose to parrot the Liberals and NDP with anti-American rherotic. They deserved to lose. I would love to see someone take the reigns and offer a real Conservative option for Canadians, not just a Liberal lite variation. I had the hardest time holding my nose and voting for the CPC after how their MPs like Corey Tochor have chosen to ignore their constituents, and the party as a whole followed Scheer and O’Tooles footsteps and snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. If they choose Jenni Brynne to run their next campaign I’m done with the party for good. I’m tired of supporting losers who don’t want to win.

    1. “but they doubled down with their support for Ukraine and chose to parrot the Liberals and NDP with anti-American rhetoric. They deserved to lose. I would love to see someone take the reigns and offer a real Conservative option for Canadians, not just a Liberal lite variation. ”

We can dream. I liked this outcome….there will be no hiding behind anti-Trump rhetoric now. Put up or shut up, Carney.

    2. I’m afraid a real conservative would not get enough support to form government. PP did what he had to do. He ran an exceptional campaign. I blame the electorate… the dumb, ignorant electorate. They’re gonna get what they voted for… good and hard.
We had a real conservative. His name is Max Bernier. He was drummed out of the CPC, and his PPC has been all but wiped off the face of the earth.
That’s what happens to real conservatives in this dystopian country.
