  1. There’s another chapter to this story. The UK dropped the tariff on Chinese made E-bikes. This did two things. First, it, basically, submarined the domestic UK E-bike manufacturers. And, China inundated urban UK areas with their own manufactured E-bikes which have a tendency to be unsafe and prone to fires.

In fact, there are some rather entertaining channels on YouTube that keep track of all the lithium battery fires on the Chinese mainland….and it’s wayyyyy more than a few.

    1. China Fakes Everything, including their certification labels of third party testing (i.e. CSA or UL)

  2. All I know is that I found it very disturbing to have my flight attendants announce before take off last week, that it is illegal to carry lithium batteries on an airliner. And then went on to say that it is a crime punishable by the full extent of the law to HIDE said batteries from the flight crew.

    What!?

The passengers weren’t all screened for exploding, flammable, lithium batteries by the TSA? What the hell are those x-Ray machines looking for? Is it too embarrassing to take out all those lithium powered “personal massage devices”? Great … well grandma and grandpa died in a fiery plane crash because some lesbian packed her favorite 10 “toys”
