Daily Sceptic- Met Office Shock: More Non-Existent UK Weather Stations Discovered Reporting Invented Data
In a separate public database it was recently found that the state meteorologist was making up 30-year average temperatures from 103 non-existent stations. The Met Office referenced the station names and provided single location coordinates for the imaginary sites including one improbably based next to the water on Dover Beach.

The finding of this fraud was the actual error, not the fraud itself. Our times in a nutshell.
Here in America we simply place our weather stations adjacent to airport tarmacs in order to record maximum jet exhaust and hot reflective surfaces … and then use computer models to estimate the rest. All scientificy and whatnot.
Yeah, there is a lot of that going on, Kenji. Anthony Watts started a site, I think called “surfacestations.com” which has a load of data and photos illustrating the terrible violations of official siting standards at many official measurement stations. Ground-based temperature data is very corrupted.
I also remember reading that the US has always had and still has more ground-based temperature measuring sites than anybody else. But the number of US stations has decreased very significantly since about the 1960s. Apparently most of the stations that were closed were rural and mostly at higher elevations than the urban stations. So, if you close the rural stations and keep the urban ones and sight them in bad locations within the urban heat Islands, how in hell can anybody accept that data and massage it through “computer models” to predict imminent climate catastrophe and expect to be believed?

No…! Those stations are there! They’re just invisibobb… Invee… Invusss… You just can’t see them… And we’ll be able to afford building and maintaining more of them when you’re levied taxes on the rest of the periodic table, gravity, temperature and light…

What’s annoying – and I guess actually a blessing in disguise – is that these people who would do this are sufficiently mentally unwell that they can’t be arsed to do a proper job with the forgeries.
A *mentally competent* person would have taken the time to check coordinates and the location areas so they would at least look plausible if you weren’t actually going on-sight.
Maybe they are hostages,attempting to call for help,without bringing down the wrath of their captors?

I believe there is a satellite that started measuring temperature worldwide quite a few years ago. (20 years?) As the fear mongers started claiming the world was getting warmer the satellite data said there was very little change occurring. I haven’t seen any data from that satellite for many years. Has any SDA followers have any recollection or access to this satellite data?
