  2. Canada, a place known around the world for free-range hunting, could have a tremendous firearms and ammunition industry. But, no, because, as everyone knows, guns are bad. Unless you are ….well, we know who those people are….

    1. Oh, I wouldn’t say that. I have had a few Canadian made export firearms, marketed in the US under manufacturer names such as Savage and Remington. They were fantastic, actually, well made and well fitted, accurate and reliable. The problem is that, apparently, they are not for you.. But alas, I share (a portion of) your pain, as I will never have an original Diemaco AR-15. It is an excellent clone, with some very practical improvements, well made and fitted (better than Colt at the time), and way way waaaaay too many dollars are needed to buy one..

  3. Liberals don’t have clue about firearms, these recommendations for banning certain guns is all on the RCMP and the zealots in the firearms branch. any and all scary black guns that even look close to their “carbines” will be forbidden.

  4. There are many ways that the Liberal Party government of Canada could make Society safer vis-a-vis guns and gun crime.
    .
    But as we see over, and over, and over, and over again ,Liberal Party appointed Liberal judges handing out light sentences, no sentences, probation and outright dismissals of crimes involving illegally possessed guns.
    Including a Liberal Party of Canada government soft on crime, and a hug-a-thug across the board policy of weak handling of societies safety.

    At the same time we see the Liberal Party of Canada government coming down hard, like a ton of bricks ,on Vetted,checked,double’checked and triple-checked,law abiding gun owning citizens and passing all kinds of laws to hinder,and complicate their lives.

    Why is that??
    .
    I posit that this dichotomy in government treatment and our societies safety has everything to do with partisan politics on the part of the Liberal Party of Canada government.
    Not just partisan politics, but actually hyper-partisan politics.
    The Liberal Party of Canada government is essentially using and abusing the laws, and legislation, and passing large-scale intrusions into Canadians lives.
    And they are doing it because the vast majority, the supermajority, the absolute majority of gun owners, all vote Conservative. There is a small percentage that are NDP and a tiny smattering of Liberals that own guns.
    Everything they’ve done in this country in the last 10 years, vis-à-vis guns, has been to attack the Liberal Party of Canada’s ideological enemies, the Conservatives.
    That’s all there is to it, nothing to do with safety, nothing to do with protecting people and everything to do with costly hyperpartisan attacks on their ideological enemies.

    2. During he roll out of the FAC card in 1977, a letter from the Superintendent of the RCMP was sent to the head of each detachment in Canada explaining the methods and policies of the FAC. The last line in the last paragraph of the letter stated, and I quote,
      “The sole intent of the FAC is to quietly and discreetly disarm the entire Canadian public.”
      This was the Liberal government then, and they are after the guns again. Don’t let these fascists into power again.

  5. I had another gun made a prohibited weapon. It’s a 70 year old early military semi-auto for which no automatic version was ever made. It’s pretty much a museum piece. I got some ammo when I bought it 35 years ago but none is likely available. Almost all the guns except mine and a few were rebarreled to the 7.62 x 39 Soviet round. It is probably one of the least dangerous guns you can buy.

  6. I was talking to a Toronto homicide cop about a year ago. Can’t remember which year, probably 2022, he said TO cops recovered 494 guns, all pistols, while making arrests. 493 had never been registered in Canada. The other one was stolen.
    So of course we have to ban guns, *so they are not available.* (dang, I’ve lost my font italic sarcastic.)

    The Leftovers will be shrieking about “Guns smuggled from the West”.
    Liberals are evil.

    Funny thing this…The fear of firearms is apparently based on Eecol Polytechnique,however you spell it.

    Yet Ghamil Ghabi would have been a forgotten nitwit in Canadian History..
    If just one of the students had concealed carry..
    If every young person was properly educated,in tool use and control..
    There would be very few mass shooting.

    Every young lady needs weapons training.
    And a .32 autoloader in every purse.

      So, we’re left with, the gun did it. So glad they “arrested” THAT gun right away. It was a bad gun.

      2. As long as we give them those choices,it will all be good.
        Tempered steel 12″ hatpins are a fine back up,should the gun control prove inadequate.
        Control meaning aim and round placement.
        For the gals of an athletic nature 357 magnum might be their free choice.
