ie, anything and everything which requires any level of a Canadian government to touch upon.
Allow me to expound.
The reason Canadian municipal, provincial, and federal governments tend to be Hard Left, is it’s easier (than letting The People decide for themselves in a Republic) for weak politicians to keep citizens divided, pitted against each other, resenting one another, and so more capable of being used for political purposes.
Provincial Trade: Canadian voters have (over generations) learned to accept (without complaint) that trade between provinces is too prohibitive, too much red tape, so businesses export to the US instead.
These intentional Liberal Party of Canada trade barriers cost the Canadian economy much more than the merely threatened US tariffs, which are yet to be implemented pending Ottawa addressing international concerns of her much too-close relations with Communist China.
“A major obstacle to eliminating interprovincial trade barriers is identifying them” is how they manipulate it into a tangled mess. It has cost the economy $Trillions since the 1940 Royal Commission Report on Dominion Provincial Relations under Mackenzie King’s Liberal Party, and who have since consistently and conveniently blamed it on the provinces being selfish for political purposes, which is classic Modus Operandi of the Communist Soviet Union who infiltrated the Liberal Party in the 1920’s.
Q: Why bankrupt one’s own nation?
A: One major goal for the Soviets was always to undermine the economy & culture of the USA,
and Canada is, like Mexico and all western hemisphere nations,
intimate with the target. Since the 1990’s China has taken over the Soviets nightmare of world-wide communist hegemony.
Q: But why would any, let alone so many, politicians accept great amounts of money and power to sell out their own country?
A: Because they are human, but commies aren’t and they never sleep, thus all compromises trend Leftward.
I know all that . What I said was why couldn’t he say some of that before he lost me with his word salad?
That video is a steaming pile of turds. There is an awful lot of exaggeration. Liquor regulation is all about taxation. That’s how we don’t have to cough up 100 bucks to visit the doctor. If anyone wants any liquor in Alberta, order enough to convince a warehouse to bring it in. One case likely won’t cut it. One pallet might not cut it. A container full likely would.
And the war against fossil fuels is all about taxation. The fact I presented on these pages yesterday, that your own government taxes the price of a barrel of Alberta oil many more times than Trump’s tariffs will … but Orangemanbad is easier than maths.
That’s why Canadians don’t have to declare bankruptcy leaving their families homeless when they die. We probably pay twice the taxes of Americans and if you put it on a ballot it would pass by 90% or more.
Ridiculous is right. I can buy more Canadian produce here in Georgia than my family in BC can.

This doesn’t surprise me at all, sadly.
