    2. VP Vance did say Pollievre was a Canadian Mitt Romney. And I did say he was likely your least worst candidate, but the operative phrasing was “least worst”, faint praise.
      And my President has finally just been blunt with the truth: it doesn’t matter who you get into power.

    If he really wants Canada to be part of some super-US, he should care. Or at least have people in his staff more knowledgeable & able to take care of this situation.
    Another 4-5 years of Liberal/NDP will completely bankrupt Canada. We might as well learn Mandarin now.

      He doesn’t care, because he has no intention of ‘annexing’ Canada.. This is all part of his negotiating strategy.

    1. Deerfield is in Lake Co. is one of the wealthiest and most liberal counties in Illinois; one of the suburban collar counties around Chicago. I highly doubt the rural, conservative areas of IL, nor the poorer, more urban areas of the state will feel overly sad for their travails.

      They voted for this; now they get to find out — virtue signaling can have consequences (there is likely a lesson for Canadians here).

      For the record, I highly doubt it was a lie.

    Trump is the boogieman of the Canadian left and frankly the tariffs piss off the Canadian right. I see this as Trump putting distance between Pierre and the perception being broadcast. Ironically the Libs who have been running as the anti-Trumpers could be cast as his allies. Invest in popcorn.

  11. I bring this up, because my local news is promoting the Oakland Roots … a third tier “professional” soccer team playing at the now vacated Oakland Coliseum. They are trying to convince everyone that it’s no big deal for the city to have lost The Oakland A’s and The Oakland Raiders, err Las Vegas.

      1. Nobody cares about The Oakland Roots … but the city Communists who drove out both Pro Teams … want to:

        a) convince you anyone cares about a “pro” soccer team that plays in a league nobody has ever heard of
        b) convince you that NFL and MLB fans will convert to soccer
        c) convince you that admitting some white folk “stole” the Bay Area from loving, peaceful, gentle, environmentally simpatico native clam digger/gatherers … makes them “good people”. But no … they’re not giving back the land their own homes stand on. Funny thing that … hollow words. Meaningless gestures. Virtue signaling run amok.
