31 Replies to “I Want A New Country”

  1. I will say that although I have my reservations about the US government, I would not make much of a fuss about living in the 51st state. Because as bad as the US government is, and it really is, our Canadian government is far, far worse. Light years worse.

Watching #TheDonald kick those US government weasels in the b@ll$ and de-fund their iron rice bowl jobs is a dream come true. I want that for Canada. Every one of those smarmy, fake-faced tax thieves needs to feel the Hand of Righteousness close on their shoulder, and be called to account.

    TAX CUT NOW.

    1. ‘Andrew’ … hardest butt hurt. Because of “all you people on this site pledging your allegiance to Trump”

  2. Once upon a time, when Canada wasn’t a ridiculous little country, I was a proud Canadian. But my pride started declining with Pearson and Hellyer, really took a hit under turdo la first, and never recovered during the following three-plus decades of mediocrity.

Then along came turdo la doo and the Wuhan flu, with his house full of liberty-smashing sheep on all sides of the aisle. And the final insult: polls that tell me (despite 2 recent years of freedom suppressions) that only 30 percent of the electorate are concerned about freedoms and liberty.

So yeah, beam me up, Donnie.

  3. I would welcome a unification with the USA …

At the very least we should have an economic union.
Canada has become a joke under the idiot Trudeau and will worsen under the idiot Carney.
So I ask the USA to do whatever it takes to help get Canada out of the hands of these evil clowns.
Invasion or annexation .. whatever …. what we have now is worst of all worlds.
What Canada is becoming is not what America wants next door.

  4. I say, if you want to live in America, emigrate. If I were younger (75) I would be considering it.

There are three reasons why annexation would be a bad idea (four if we include the concept of being five new states at least).

    1. Trump won’t be in power forever, it would be our luck to sign on for President AOC or gruesome Newsome.

    2. We would not really be “cherished” — a lot of Americans would look at us as second-class citizens. Personally, I don’t like the distinction they make between native born and immigrants of any length of time. You have to wonder if we did join, would native born Canadians be equal to native born Americans? That whole concept creates two classes of citizenship.

    3. Our inclusion would push America to the left. I don’t want to see that.

    1. Could you please expand on No 2, how we are cherished by the Ottawa Laurention elites more so ?

    2. The only “native born” distinction applies to Presidents (and presidential candidates, though some have escaped of late). In my view it ought also to apply to members of Congress. And judges.

  5. Leave if I could.
    Join if I could.
Canada is like a teenager finally becoming an adult but then going off the wall with the onset of schizophrenia.
So much potential and now just a fckn shitshow.
    What a waste.
    Thank a Commie.

  6. I am an old stock Canadian with roots going back to 1647 and the Coureur de Bois, but I made my decision long ago and left because of the damage that idiotic Canadians allowed to happen under the first Trudeau. I secured my US citizenship and happily planned to live there the rest of my life, but the best-laid plans derailed that. I recall sitting at the cold dining room table because we had no money to heat the place and listening to the sickening CBC. Even back in the 70s, I returned during the Harper years and could never have imagined how quickly and efficiently the country could be destroyed. I will return, once my responsibilities here are completed, taking all my family and capital with me.
All my investments and money are in USD.

  7. I too was once a proud Canadian ( what ever that means ) but like Jamie Mac I saw our decline begin with Red Mike and free fall to where we are today . Each day the stakes get higher as the tit for tat bullshit gets worse . At my age I couldn’t care less what the future holds . My only concern is my children and their families .

  8. Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, and hopefully British Columbia should use the only good that the Liberals have ever given the WEST! Use the Clarity Act and campaign properly to all citizens explaining why this is necessary! If a province gets a vote of 50% +1 they can leave!
The problem that I see joining the states is in 4 years the Democrats could form government bring in another Biden!
This is crucial in my opinion and the vote and information must be done properly!
Invitation to the Territories to join should be offered!

  9. just tell me when l gotta move to alberta to get included.
tell me the rules. l will not debate, take issue of contradict any rationale,
    just SPELL IT OUT.

  10. “51st State” is a targeted
    and well deserved insult
towards a people who compromise their own future,
out of pure envy spite and sloth,
    for baubles.

If the current US admin (or variant)
    repeats just two terms,
Chi-Coms and their useful idiots are doomed,
and todays children will be saved
    from their abusive relations.

    The writing’s on the wall,
the Left has become fatally desperate.

  11. I thought this was a great idea when I first heard it. My pride in being a Canadian has declined in the past 10 years to the point of being nonexistent. If we could leave Quebec and the Indian/First Nation agreements behind we should jump at the chance.

  12. We in the west need out of Canada like yesterday.

Be it statehood, independence, alliance, whatever…

Goodbye Ottawa and a big Trudeau salute to central and eastern Canada.

F&$K Y0U very much. 100 years of being milked and abused is enough.

  13. Don’t know who you are and don’t care . I can’t afford to move to the states and I certainly can’t afford to buy healthcare down there . If you can go ahead . I don’t feel like loosing my house because of that . I think we have serious problems here and just before the election the Americans were in the same situation. Trump is trying to fix things down there but he can’t be considered a friend of Canada. You don’t treat your friends worse than your enemies , they won’t be friends long. The problem we have in Canada is our government period. I’m from alberta my parents from Saskatchewan and Manitoba my grandparents from Quebec. Our family has been here since a little Jacque Cartier my son is in Ontario and my brothers were scattered across the country from bc to Newfoundland. This is my country not my adopted country . A great number of people living here are from the rest of the world and have no ingrown allegiance to it . It’s just better than whatever they came from their allegiance is to whatever political party promises them the most. The Canadian constitution was never something the people agreed on it’s a political paper . Nobody in Alberta voted for it .I certainly didn’t never even was asked to. Maybe politicians from here said ok not the people not the same thing. The only way Alberta can change the constitution is to vote to leave. Not a chance to change it any other way simply because you need agreement from everyone else involved to say yes . Not going to happen. Alberta won’t be treated fairly any other way. I think we should leave but not to join the Americans.

    1. RWG take some time and look up the “Clarity Act”——-it gives us a way out , but there will have to be more work and organization done than an ordinary election! I for one would work hard on getting it going ! The way I understand it –it must to be introduced by the party that has been democratically elected to lead the said Province or Territory! The need for lawyers and especially those who are trained in Constitutional law would be a necessity!

      1. Some Lawyers that feel strongly about what we are hoping to accomplish might be encouraged to do some work Pro Bono!

  14. It is worth noting..The American Democrat Party are further to the right ,than Canadian Progressive Conservatives.
That the US system appears to be self correcting .
The USA constitution seems to still be working, limiting the bureaus.

    Canada has spiralled into bankruptcy.
Anyone see a path by which we can return to solvency?

As I read it,we owe far more than we can ever repay.
For the tax payers to try to pay off the debt incurred in our names, means decades of tax slavery.
    Lost decades.
And who is slated to pay?
Those with young families, working in the “richer” parts of Canada.
    The West.
Who spent this largess for which we are now in debt?
The East..who consistently reward the worse kind of sleazebags in politics.

    Confederation is a sham.
We have no individual rights nor freedoms.
An unescapable fact,no matter what the government lovers may screech.

We have no rights as British Freemen.
What we have are privileges, granted at the whim of fools and bandits.
In the event of “An Emergency”,when government is in a state of hysterical terror, the citizen has zero protection in Canadian law, from these idiots.

So status as a State of the Union, provides western Canadians with most everything we need.
And with real constitutional protections that Canada denies us.

But the best reason to hold a referendum?
    Diagolon.
I love seeing Libtards exposed for the lying hypocrites they be.
And making Diagolon become real would just be too funny.

Money talks,we cannot trade east West in this idiotic kleptocracy, our current trade flows predominantly North South.
So what do we need Ottawa for?
Do we just love supporting abusive bluggers?

  15. Canadians seem not to even know who the PM is, nor how he got there. What a great system!

  16. I don’t want to move to the U.S.A., nor have the U.S.A. annex Canada or part of Canada (e.g. Saskatchewan, especially) but worse things than becoming part of the U.S.A. could happen to us. And Canada is certainly capable of becoming that bad.

I think it would be better for both countries if Canadians fix Canada. That sounds impossible, and it will take much longer than the rest of my life (which is statistically predicted to be a bit more than a decade) but we aren’t really trying yet.

    1. The “hurt” caused by our own government hasn’t crested in the east yet. It’s all TDS-USA-EU deflection.
How long can Trudeau-Carney prorogue last?

    2. As an American who has highly enjoyed every one of my visits to Canada in my long life, I would love to see Canadians fix Canada. We almost lost America, and still might, the tyrannical forces of the world have existed throughout history and will never stop trying to enslave us worker bees for their gain. If you dig into it, almost every “good for you scheme” has been intended to redistribute wealth, from healthcare to the environment to yes, even war, and the list is long. If America can diminish the enormous corruption and fraud, expose and punish the corrupt ones and turn ourselves around there is hope for other countries. There is nothing productive about strife between those with the same concepts of freedom, basic rights and self determination, we have a world to adjust to a better trajectory. I believe that most Canadians and Americans still have some of the grit and determination of our forefathers. This is why it is SO important to teach our children the history of those who sacrificed to forge and settle our nations.

        1. Keith … The sad truth of it is that “they” have so much to gain and possess absolutely zero in the moral compass department, whereas most of “we the people” have spiritual balance to a great degree. Meaning they can commit murder and mayhem without compunction but “we the people” are restrained to “the rule of law”, as it should be. This imbalance necessitates belief in God Almighty and much prayer, which quite evidently does work, not always as quickly as we would like, but justice does arrive.
