    Now what was I going to say? Oh yeah…anyone who is familiar with an event will often tell you that media reports of events are often nonsense. One should assume that to be even more likely when the story is important to some “narrative”.

  8. I missed the Belushi boat.. He did stage work for 3 or so years before joining SNL in 1975.. Already rolling with the SNL gang.. Spent 4 years on SNL.. Left in 1979 to do movies and other stuff..

    He had chops for sure.. But I know him through the SNL rolls he played and the Blues Brothers movie / soundtrack.. Animal house?.. lol..

    A big star for 4 years… 1978 to 1982.. A flash in the pan, icon.. Who unfortunately played unsavory characters in most of his offerings.. Who was that guy?.. I don’t know, but he did what he did, well enough to be remembered..

  9. My favorite from that era was when Belushi saddled up to Joe Cocker and sang with him, perfectly mimicking Cocker’s (spastic?) arms, hands, and singing gestures. I almost fell off my chair in laughter. Priceless irreverence that today would have elicited condemnation by the dour leftists.

Despite being mildly retarded Woodward worked for Navy intelligence and somehow, inexplicably got a job at the WaPo, and later shoehorned in on the biggest story of the decade, those are the media’s words. They paired him up with Bernstein only because Bernstein could read and write. All participants involved in the break-in were CIA operatives.
    Nixon was strong armed to name swamp critter and Warren Commission participant Gerald Ford as his Vice President guaranteeing himself a pardon. If Nixon didn’t play ball, they were prepared to throw the book at him.

    Knowing his back was against the wall, Nixon told CIA head spook Richard Helms …”I know who killed John” an obvious reference to the JFK assassination. Helms was silent.
    A coup d’état if ever there was one.

    1. Gerald Ford led the second inquiry covering up the Kennedy assassination. Then after Carter and Reagan the president was George Bush who was actively involved in the Kennedy Assassination. The swamp gets around. They’ve led about a dozen different attacks on Trump.

        1. The tape was missing. Could have been a machine error or and over-recording. The thing I remember was Nixon inquired and found out who did the break-in and didn’t report them. Absolutely not a crime.
