  1. Goldstein completely lost me with his Khadr position. How’d that work out Lorrie? Anyway, yes we are in a we have no cards situation. – if I can re-use a term.

  2. Perhaps now is a time to address the 150% to 300% tariffs on American dairy, eggs, chicken, imports into Canada? Or is that still not on the table?

Will tier 2 Canada fail from these tariffs? Will tier 2 Canada be MORE damaged by having our idiots in the federal gov’t all advocate for Canadians to pay tariffs on American imports?

When tier 2 Canada implodes, will AB/Sask. then have their referendums to exit from Canada? Will this speed the process? I’m starting to think that the tariffs should be 50% … do you you want to go higher? How about if Canada extends the butter tariff of 300% to all goods imported from the USA? After all, if it’s good for the Canadian dairy industry, it should be good for all.

    Yeah! Accelerationists to the rescue!

They’re TRQs that kick in after a certain volume. The US agreed to the new deal and Trump called it “the best deal ever”. The reality is our system is equally as socialist as the US farm subsidies. Both would have to be discussed at the same time.

      1. the problem with you and the rest of the miscreants, like Z, is your delusions. You think its a level playing field.
Reality is the Yanks hold the cards, despite your denials and obfuscations.
Good luck holding out for Utopia!

        1. Dan, Dan, Dan … he’s not “holding out” for Utopia. He’ll FORCE Utopia on of us. Or we’ll all be lampshades.

    2. Get rid of the TRQ on Dairy, Chicken & Egg imports, we as Canadians can sacrifice doing this! Quebec will scream but the rest of Canada will be happy. Maybe this would work with Trump, we know he dislikes Trudy but he is NOT upset with all Canadians!

  3. The liberals want the tarriffs. They think they can win on orange man bad and they can use it to get ubi passed.

    1. UBI would destroy the Canada as we know it…or do we become SLAVES to the Federal Gov’t LIEbrals! Vote the b*st*rds out. Trudeau is planning on staying as he doing things behind the scene. Carey is a distraction, so we will not notice what he and his LIEbral party are doing. VOTE OUT THE LIBERAL PARTY!! My thoughts only.

  4. The tariffs are the least of Canada’s worries…..the amount of capital that is going to flee Canada (and other countries) into the U.S. will be the real killer. Already (and for some time), Canadians have invested more in foreign countries (primarily the U.S.) than foreigners have invested in Canada. Maybe that’s what the Liberals want….open the door for their Maoist friends. After all, there are many in the party that have been closet Maoists all the way back to Comrade Pierre Trudeau.

    1. That’s right Art.
The Liberals will be quite happy to let this go on and have the country go down the drain, all while wrapping themselves in the flag. All in a cynical play to hold onto THEIR power.
France had a solution for these people at one time.
The reality is that foreign capital has been fleeing Caanderp since Blackie came to power, it will just accellerate, despite the delusions of NDPLiberals.
Anyone truly expect Ebby to relax all regulations to enable mines to spin up faster? Not On Your Life. It was just to grab a temporary headline. Ditto the Libs, anyone expecting them to build pipelines and allow more O&G development.
There is no economic solution with the left, just despair with welfare, massive deficit spending and the worst thing of all UBI.
They will bankrupt this country. And the US can sweep in and buy it auction discounts.
The sheeple in this country are dumber than dumb, buying the tEaM cANaDa nonsense. Its a road to nowhere.

      1. The more Canada fails, in the minds of the progressives regressing to Marxism, the more powerful they are.
One of these days, maybe, enough Canadians will learn to check their emotions for facts and votes.
You don’t deal with the big kid on the block, whether they be a bully or not, by posturing temper tantrums.
The Liberals have done less than nothing during Trump’s tariff pause, because they want this all to happen.

So they can cry “emergency,” double down on transactions of decline, weakening us, and their main totalitarian theme, us more dependent on parasitic collectivism, who need crisis to justify their power, so we can endure more globalism putting Canada, her resources and economy, at the behest of fascists.

  5. What’s to negotiate? Trump, correctly, sees Canada as a satellite state of Red China and not worth negotiating with until the CCP agents and assets running the place are removed and replaced with people serious about a civil relationship with a United States governed in the interest of its own citizenry.

We need to go do that. The rest is details.

      1. Only if the Trump Admin enforces the Logan Act and arrests Rice, Vindman, and Blinken. Time to get serious with these traitorous miscreants.
Gotta scare the monkeys by making examples of a few chickens.

  6. Oh well.. We will have to take it day by day..

I wish all of you and myself a healthy dose of LUCK..

  7. He’s full of shit. It’s been the same “threats” for months. Who believes that con man anymore?

  8. Perhaps we should let the Americans know that they don’t need to put a 25% tariff on us. We will put a 30% export tariff on all critical goods going to the US with the revenue collected going to the tariffed companies. It’s a win-win.

  9. Just went to the USA for EXTREMELY cheap beer and there were about 20 other vehicles doing the same. I will continue to do so as the savings, despite the exchange rate, is still substantial.
We make little of what we use ever day. When we’re paying $10 bucks for lettuce and other foods that aren’t produced here Canadians may finally realize we don’t have a good hand in this poker game. We’re about queen high… If lucky.

    1. Priorities.
The price of beer in Canada has long been insane. Easily enough to justify separation.

  10. ‘Merica.
I’m drinking all the beer in the house tonight. After extensive study and calculation I have determined that the budget will easily accommodate the tariff on Pacifico and Negra Modelo.
