Heading For The Exits

I’m pretty sure that berating a company for leaving Canada not only confirms their belief that it was the right decision, but likely encourages others to consider doing the same.

Montreal-based TFI said it has decided to change its legal domicile to the U.S. because about 70 per cent of its operations are based there. The announcement annoyed the Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec, a public pension manager that has long fought to prevent companies from leaving the French-speaking province.

“The company has not informed us of its intentions, and we will express our dissatisfaction,” CDPQ spokesperson Kate Monfette in an emailed statement.

  1. Typo alert.

“The company has not informed us of its intentions, and we will express our dissatisfaction fart in their general direction,” CDPQ spokesperson Kate Monfette in an emailed statement.

  2. Just the start…….leaving chaos for order and fair taxation, and a national interest. Unlike north of 49, still trying to tax its way to freedom. Not to mention Social Justice, Dei, all the other leftist nonsense.

Business needs certainty of the landscape, taxation, rules of engagement. HAS TO MAKE MONEY, otherwise, why bother??

Look forward to the exodus continuing, Govs of all stripes are to blame……not business.

Just saying…well done you rapist mutts masquerading as governments and regulatory maggots. Well Done, now the results of your actions become evident. No economy, no Nation…..once more WELL DONE.

    Just saying 🙂

  3. I wonder how much of the income tax they were paying ($138.2 million) was going to Quebec and Canada since 32% of net income seems a bit high.

  4. 70% of their business is already in the US, they would be stupid if they stayed.

SNC-Lavalin would be stupid if they moved because 70% of their income is from your pocket.

Corporate welfare cases pocketing cash from our corrupt government will blow ‘proud Canadian’ sunshine.
