  1. Tough guy. He survived a torpedo attack by HNIC, Sportsnet, the Royal Canadian Legion and the NHL and then was cast adrift by Weasel MacLean.

But he pulled through it with more dignity in his little toe than all the others have combined.

  2. Happy Birthday, Don. I’m thinking we should let Cherry negotiate Canada’s next free trade deal with the Americans.

  3. I have not watched a single HNIC game since they fired him, and probably less than 10 part games in total. If I happen to be watching a sports show and Ron Mclean appears, I turn off the TV.

    1. Same here. And Bobby Orr was the only one with the courage and decency to speak up for him. The NHL can kiss my arse forever.

  4. Somebody give that man the Order of Canada he richly deserves. Probably the most loved public figure in Canada. On top of that he successfully determined the Swedes and French Canadians to be the sissiest in the NHL.

  5. Yes Don Cherry is a Canadian hero. Don and myself have spoken the truth and suffered the consequences for doing so.

  6. Don Cherry I miss you and am still angry at the completely disgraceful and disrespectful treatment you were subjected to. You People who torpedoed this Canadian Legend will not win this war on our culture. Ron McLean to me symbolizes the character of the pseudo Intellectual Canadian Leftist and their belief that they are above it all. You turned your back on your friend and then lectured about it to feed your ego and signal how virtuous you are. Happy Birthday Don Cherry! May God Bless you. And May God Bless You People too.

  7. Don is a kind man.
He is an Old Stock Canadian. An Icon to look up to. He was our favourite. And FILTHY Marxist assholes ran him out of town.

Ron McClean is a beta Weasel. We all hate you and your stupid puns. You ruined hockey. And your sweaters look stupid.
You shame us every week. You can kiss our ass.
You People should buy a Damn Poppy.

  8. 91, and still going strong.
The way things are going for me, I’ll be lucky if I make it past 80.

Happy Birthday, Don! I miss you being on my screen on Saturday nights.

  9. Don is more entertaining than the hockey.
Coach’s Corner could have shadowed the whole 3 hr broadcast, imagine!
