    1. I am not a big fan of Manitoba. I was born there, graduated from U of Manitoba, but its various governments have squandered its resources and the NDP governments loved to spend money which they did not have.
      It is a beautiful province and is blessed with many resources (the cold winters are not great) but most people seem to want “something for nothing”.
      I have always said that AB and SK should be part of the United States, we have so much more in common with Montana and North Dakota.

      2. I live in Manitoba and agree completely. We have been blessed with so much in terms of place as well as resources both natural and human. But we are a have not welfare province due to people’s inability to stop something for nothing attitude.

Manitoba is a cesspool of unions, ethnic enclosures, and corruption. 3.5 billion in equalization payemtns for a province of 1.3 million that has every possible resource you could ask for, and being centrally located in North America. Manitoba votes provincially NDP almost all the time, votes Liberal and NDP federally, and only gets Conservartives when the gluttons are full and in need of a rest before their next meal. Manitoba, once a jewel of Canada is a blight. Boarded up buildings, unsafe streets, small businesses destroyed, tax supported white elephants as far as the eye can see, exorbitant money for useless people, and people who are more concerned with Jets games than the crime and the thousands living on the streets.

  4. I’m not sure who Eric Trump is trolling here but like any idea it’s worth discussing prior to implementation.

    I do think Eric Trump brings good ideas to the incoming Admin. but wouldn’t be advocating for Canada to become part of the USA as “1 state” as the west would have many of the same objections they have now while we’re “ruled” by easterners who have only their own and the Davos types interests at heart, none of which are supported here.

    Separate states for the west and former central Canadian lands, (6 states + 1 Atlantic state) and amalgamate Atlantic Canada into 1 state with 2 senators so as not to be inviting 8 Democrat senators from that region’s individual states. I hope when Atlantic Canada puts up a fight for more representation and as always, “special treatment”, the response is, “you people are not fit to care for yourself and the next step is either you go as independents or as territories”.

    Here’s an flawed example, but far more realistic model than simply “Canada is the 51st state” ruled forever by their state capital in Ottawa…

    I think the northern territories should be 1 territory referred to as Yukon.
    Hope that Quebec goes it alone for a few decades prior to admitting that their experiment in being French forever has failed, and they can simply join then as an equal state.

    1. And the world will listen. The Panama Canal issue is not out of the question at all. The gambit could easily be to apply so much pressure on Panama that they won’t let a single immigrant heading up to the U.S. through the Darien Gap.

    He’s a master troll at work. No one in the US wants Canada as a 51st state. The western provinces, sure, Yukon, great. BC west of the mountains, oh hell no.
    Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes, nope, not a chance. All Indian treaties become null and void to be renegotiated. Greenland actually does make some sense and the Cana; Zone was given away by Jimmy Carter and appears to be falling apart. Save that money for high speed freight rail lines across the country. Recognize that Leftists do not have a sense of humor.

  12. Btw this is Trumph destroying Trudeau. Trudeau can’t say a word and looks like a fool if he does(not that he needs help in that department). Trumph wants a deal as this is the way he works from a position of strength political economic and military. Canada has jack crap to come back with. All ford could do was threaten to turn off the lights. That’s all we have. Nothing Canada has or can do would cause any lasting harm at all to the USA.
    Pierre will be in the same position with Trumph. We are takers of the crumbs at the table and should be effing glad we do not have Russia or china as our neighbour.

  13. Trump should tend to his nittin’. He’s already squandered precious political capital on the debt bill. He’s in for a rough ride and has little time to waste.

    1. And Putin is gonna hand his ass to him. He will slink away from Ukraine with his tail between his legs, and his administration on the verge of collapse. He can barely gather a cabinet. Wait till the Deep State shooting starts.

      The US has lost the arms race. US carriers can be sunk now with virtual impunity by the Russians. And with the US Navy swept from the seas by hypersonic missiles and drone swarms in any serious war, US troops and supplies aren’t going anywhere. War against Russia in Ukraine will not be a colonial police action like Iraq or Afghanistan. It will be total, global war. No targets will be off limits. The Russians will also go out of their way to kill as many Western civilians as possible. And that will be boatloads. It won’t be a few thousands. It will be millions. Hospitals, food supplies, the power grid. Everything. They will kill us off in the millions.

      All with conventional arms. Something no one in the West can handle. The West couldn’t even handle transgenderism, nor a flu with a 99.98% survival rate.

      The danger is that Trump is so damned NYC stupid (and NYC stupid is a very special breed of stupid) that he dosen’t know any of this. The Deep State does, and may very well simply end him to avoid a global catastrophe. Or Trump may know these things, and may know when to fold and leave Europe to the mess they created in Ukraine.

      I can tell you this: the Russian frontline soldier is practically begging to be allowed to kill NATONazi scum. If Trump escalates, prepare to meet a LOT of amputees, cripples, and new drug addicts in your Polish, French or German home town.

  15. I’m on the horns of a dilemma. Canada is not a nation worth fighting for but the US is not a nation I want to join. Nothing against my many American cousins but I really don’t want to be sending sons and grandsons to wars that are not relevant to everyday life. Would there be a war if the US did not support Ukraine? How soon would the war in the Middle East be over if the US didn’t obey Israel’s every command?

  16. If we were to sell Canada to the US, for $2.5 million paid to each Canadian alive as of 1200hrs on a particular date, then do it! And make sure there’s a penalty for forging incorrect times on birth and death certificates, such as forfeiture of the payout made to the forger.

    And for those under 21 when the transfer is made, the money is held in trust by the gov’t until they turn 21.
