  1. Plenty in the greater Deadmonton area today heading East. So… but wait! There’s more!

  2. Saskabush! The beautiful dark horse province. Still thinkin’ to move to Maple Creek and strive to be left alone at peace. Merry Christmas to all west of Ontario (and to those serving time east of Manitoba).

    1. Maybe I’ll wave as I drive by on my way out in a couple of days.
Yes, My SK days are dwindling down to a precious few. I expect to move by the weekend.

Welcome home, Kate. I’m sure you’ll get a shock at the change in scenery. We’re getting walloped where I am. Both my cars are half-buried, and we still have another 9 hours of this stuff to come.

Then the wind is going to blow, and blow hard. I’m supposed to drive 50 km to get to my job tomorrow morning. Not sure if I’m going to make it through

  3. You are so, so, fortunate to live there on the Sask. plains … instead of CA and Washington State where we’ve both been hit with “devastating” bomb cyclones following atmospheric rivers of EXTREME global warming cum climate change weather. Ohhhhhhh. Mommmaaaaaaaaa … if we were only as net-zero compliant as our betters living above us in Canada …

And to those of you without a sense of humor or sense of irony … yes, that was sarcasm.

  4. If you find yourself in that kind of pickle again and you’ve got a phone that supports it (most recent ones do), get an eSIM before you go. I’ve used Holafly in the past (most recently, walking the Camino in Spain), and I was really pleased. Price is a fraction of your service provider’s roaming charges, and you get unlimited data at up to 5G (depending on what’s available where you’re going, of course).

    Glad to hear you’re back.
