Currently, subject to changes in the works, October 2025 is the “election-by” date. Canada does not have a concrete voting schedule and it can be altered by Elections Canada as needed.
Right now the date is a few days before a group of MP’s will have served long enough to obtain their golden pension (all parties) and one of these is NDP leader Singh. There is some dealings going on to move the scheduled election for some religious reason conveniently passing this date.
Canadian elections get scheduled according to the last election date. This is for both Federal and Provincial houses. At any time the presiding party can petition Governor General (Federal) or Lt. Governor (Province) to dissolve the house and order and election within a set time.
As well, if there are enough votes, a government can be held in “Non Confidence” either by a majority vote in the house or a defeat of a major piece of legislation (budget). The Governor General then decides to either prop up the sitting government or call an election.
Trump beat the only two women to ever run for president. He also happened to beat among the two stupidest people to recently run for president. The Democrats were so eager to elect a women president that they failed to select quality candidates, selecting instead the first in line at the time. It had nothing to do with gender.
The best the Democrats had were Hitlary, dementia Joe, and Kamalama ding dong.
