1. Does anyone else get tired of reading about the insanity around us? We could stop all the foolishness if we stood up and said no to all of it. The lies, the foolishness, the actual insanity that has been forced upon us. Canadians can’t possibly be so bereft of critical and logical thought that they can’t say no to lies, ignorance and foolishness by our governments, and the idiots that seem to hold sway in the country. There must be more than the few that post here and a few other sites.

      I share your thoughts –But before I explain my reasons a few other thoughts come to mind.
      Any language is key to effective communication but all have some basic flaws – in that connotation trumps definition every time. Further few appreciate the difference between the words Libertarian and Libertine. Or the words assertive or aggressive. Culture determines “trigger” words that must be avoided or carefully used. Speaking of culture – I believe that religion is upstream from culture. More on this later
      To elucidate – education in most of the Western world is based on the Prussian model coupled with Dewey’s influence. End result is most participants’ souls are crushed or calcified. Curiosity, creativity and free thinking are deliberately destroyed. All that’s left is an ignorant and over-sized ego. We are paying the price.

      I have a spiritual issue with any and all institutions (esp. government) associated with or influenced by Abrahamic religions – the three major ones being Christianity, Islam and Judaism. The hierarchies are all tyrannical & and authoritarian. Based upon the vengeful G_d of the old testament who promoted smiting and smoting between tribes or attacking his enemies

      The soul may be immortal but not immutable. Errant souls simply spend more introspective time in the repository of souls prior to reincarnation.

3. I have said for at least 8 years, that AB and SK should become the 51st and 52nd states. We have more in common with Montana and North Dakota than with the rest of Canada. And, having lived in Ontario for over 25 years, most of the population there thinks we are all mouth breathers and knuckle draggers and cannot understand how AB and SK are “have” provinces.
   How about NOT spending more money than you make!

   1. You do realize that the US is the most indebted nation in the history of the world and their deficits are now growing exponentially. Alberta and Saskatchewan would be better off as independent nations and then they could consider allowing Montana and North Dakota to join them. Trump wants supply management on the table and for us to control our border. liberate Quebec, and most of our politics is conservative.

10. VDH had to write about the lies of Joe Biden because if he had to write an article about the truthfulness and integrity of Joe Biden, it would just be a blank page with the VDH byline.

    Rising to the level of pond scum on a septic pool has been a lifelong aspirational goal of Biden.
