Finally, after 4 long years of intentional incompetence, a new Border Czar, Tom Homan, is going to take things seriously. This includes properly enforcing the northern border. Back in February 2024, True North’s Harrison Faulkner interviewed him.

  2. Homan is from the Kingston area, he knows the border, well. He remembers the Bong tweeting in 2017 mocking the US and declaring, “Send us your refugees,”…blah blah – and they did. Canada was flooded at Roxham Road with illegals. We went begging the Americans to help stop the flow.

    The chickens have come home to roost. The ‘kids’ in we put in charge in Ottawa are out of ideas (they never had any in the first place). There will be no more clauses put into trade agreements addressing feminism or gay rights. They never saw this coming and have tepid relationships with the new Trump administration. They have few friends in high places in Washington.

    Last time out Mulroney bailed them out and Rona Ambrose. This time? As I said above, they have no ideas.

    1. Why in hell DID Mulroney and Ambrose bail out Justin Trudeau? Don’t try to tell me it’s because they are loyal Canadians and were doing it for the good of the country. I’m not 12 years old.
      In all the years Harper was PM, Mulroney never once made a positive statement about Harper, but praised Justin Trudeau every chance he got.

      Rona Ambrose helped to defeat Harper with her absurd “marijuana in our schools” rant, bit beyond that I’m still shocked that she helped out Harper’s worst enemy in NAFTA negotiations instead of letting him take the beating he deserved.

      Is Rona just another closet Liberal?

    “Canada’s Deputy Prime Minister, Chrystia Freeland, said Canada takes border security “very very seriously,” Wednesday”.

    1. You can tell Freeland takes it seriously by her repetition of the adverb “very”. If she didn’t take it seriously, there would have been only one “very”.
      How t-f did this woman ever get a Cabinet position? Don’t tell me, I already know. A shining star in a room full of dim lanterns.

        I’m U.S., but when she came to DC with her posse, she got rolled by Trump’s team and didn’t even know it.

    Roxam Road should have been shut down years ago. DEPORT all students and temporary workers who are claiming asylum immediately! RCMP: go find the thousands on expired visas.

    Most are economic migrants, not worthy of judicial time in the sad judicial system that we have and overly generous social welfare. Yes we like doctors from South Africa, but the rest???

    They shoud not have a hearing or benefits

    I think it is also important to severely limit our refugee and immigration process NOW, especially for anyone crossing the border illegally.

    It will take a very strong leader to rid us of the horrid Trudeau #1 Charter of Rights and Freedom. He forgot property rights and also citizen obligations. This has given Canadians nothing but a lot of unimportant lawsuits for “fake” human rights, which do not exist without obligations.

  7. The Canada-US border should be, like airport boarding, open and uncomplicated. What does the US have that isn’t already a fact of Canadian life; drug addiction, farm or food disease, criminals with weapons, homicidal nut cases? We used to cross the border, or get on an airplane, with little more than a wave and there is no good reason why we shouldn’t have such freedom now.
