1. What is the bench mark price for ‘affordable housing’?
   The Ontario government figures that a house in the Greater Toronto Area should be priced at $350,000 today to build.
   The builders and contractors think they’ve been toking too much on their peace pipes and say it much more than double that and refuse to participate as financial ruin is their future any less than that as Toronto still costs $1,300,000 to build.

   But what of the wealth effect of buying up in Real Estate that the economists preach about?

   Speculation prices sure has stung the Canadian Markets and the buying public.

   1. If you want to build a new Single Family Dwelling in the city of Toronto, you have to pay $3293 in education development charges, and $137,846 in city development charges.

      That doesn’t include anything you need to pay to get that started through the long and painful permitting process, which may take years, especially if densification is involved.

      There are also multiple inspections involved, each of which have a cost.

      And when you sell it, the buyer has to pay “land transfer taxes” which are not a fixed fee, but based on a percentage of the purchase price, and payable to both the city and province. Never mind that those taxes are also charged on the development fees because they get built into the sale price.

      So yes, we have a government who is using taxes to deter the creation of housing and make it more expensive, while also promoting government programs to build more housing.

2. Most of the houses being built are on tear down lots that already have a house standing on it and are burdened by the Gubmint with a fenced off “no-go” geriatric falling apart tree and drip zone that makes getting equipment on site almost impossible.

3. McGill: Expel every student who is participating in the protest and stop giving them a platform. They will fade away.

   Define human sacrifice?.. We all kill for any number of reasons.. From the French off with their heads to the Roman games.. Now imagine our culture fell and we left a bunch of pictures carved in stone to explain Nazi death camps..

   We live in a globalist multicultural world.. The idea that a uni-culture killed itself to death is a sexy one.. So much for closed borders :).. Not just daughters, but sons as well.. We see the value in large cities and architecture.. Priceless works of art.. But not our own children?..

   Doesn’t fit.. Even killing your enemies to the last man isn’t worth the effort they put into it.. That’s done on the spot.. Take the women and children for your own use..

   This was different and IMO the effort and showmanship put into it reeks of a legal system.. As corrupt as our own that took the only thing you care about.. Your children..

5. Are minor children even allowed to participate at university level protests? Good gawd who’d hand their kids over to those kinds of people?
