      Judge Merchan’s rulings and his instructions to the jury are a legal travesty. Given the egregious biases at play and the willingness of the prosecution and judge to twist the law into a pretzel the guilty verdict was a foregone conclusion.

      The process is the punishment. Appeals will be successful but will take months. Well past the election. The political objective of this lawfare is bearing its politically poisoned fruit. The judicial system in New York has been cast into disrepute.

    Also, from what I gathered from reports, the judge direction to the jury was that you can find him guilty, unanimously, if you all agree he broke some laws, of any kind apparently. So one guy can believe he broke an election law, one can believe he broke a campaign law, and one can believe he broke a tax law.

    This is wildly confusing. So, in the end he is guilty of what? What law was broken when it was never actually stated?

    The media and the Democrats got their man though, for now. It will only make Trump stronger, and they will regret it once it goes to appeal.

I liked the part where the first time the defense heard what the actual law was that Trump purportedly broke, was in the jury instructions, which the defense wasn’t even given time to read before they were read, and after the trial was over. This is the same as ramming through a 5K page bill in Congress a day after it has been introduced, and before anybody could possibly read it.

    Either this is the start of the greatest comeback since Washington crossing the Delaware, or “government of the people, by the people, and for the people” as Lincoln called it, as “perished from the earth” as he feared.
