Blacklocks- Commons To Pass Labour Bill
The Commons today is expected to pass a ban on federally regulated employers’ use of replacement workers in case of strike or lockout.
Bill C-58 An Act To Amend The Canada Labour Code would restrict federally regulated employers like airlines, banks and telecom companies from using replacement workers in strikes or lockouts under threat of $100,000-per day fines. A clause of the bill delays enforcement one year from final passage in Parliament.
No Conservative MP spoke against the bill or opposed it in Second or Third Reading.

It is absolutely stunning to see how far Canada has proceeded down the Marxist unionized toilet in the last 30 years. Why would anyone invest there? Why would anyone open a company? Why would anyone employ anyone else? I so look forward to the vast socialist implosion to come.
Given Pollievre’s commanding lead in the polls, we may have reached the stage where a party with this much of a lead essentially shuts down and tries coasting to electoral victory.
They will coast, and then do very little to change anything. Canada is a large toothpaste tube of socialism; each squeeze is irreversible.
Bingo.
Coasting to electoral victory?
An excellent strategy when the enemy is destroying itself and shows no inclination or ability whatsoever to reverse the decline.
Unlike some political naifs here, I do not pass judgment on PP at the present time while he has NO POWER.
Even if he wins I’ll consider the utter disaster the Libs and Dippers have wrought and pay attention to his priorities, one of which will NOT be the egg-Marketing board.
That said, while I will give him some breathing room I will expect some very major moves in the early days.
Sensible. You show as little of your hand as possible before you have a parliamentary majority to back it up. You let the Libs/Dips gut themselves. The Act itself is of relatively little consequence. When they get control of the House, the CPC has many, much larger and urgent issues to deal with.
Sure but if now cards are shown, why would I vote for CPC vs PPC vs NDP?
You just like his smell?
If he is afraid to make argument in opposition for fear of losing voters, why would you think he’d be brave enough to make argument in government? A squish now suggests a squish later.
One criminal organization protecting another which happens to be a client of the former. Once elections are outlawed, the state then eliminates the unions and their leaders “disappear”. The state always gets to hold the guns. The organized criminals masquerading as unions just think that they hold them as that’s what the Bolsheviks and Jacobins running the state wants them to think.
Meanwhile, 26 US states have “right to work” laws that makes joining a union (and paying dues) optional. And, of course, those states are the ones with the most job growth.
Canada is so effed.
speNDP Manitoba recently passed a law doing the same thing. This is a Jagmeet contribution to our downfall. Unions in Canada are now the new Praetorian Guard.
I’m old enough to remember when President Reagan summarily FIRED all, yes, all … the nation’s Air Traffic Controllers who illegally went on strike, thus crippling air travel.
And, son of a bitch … not a single aero plane fell out of the sky.
I was the payroll manager for our company and I remember the spontaneous cheers from the staff when Reagan did this.
Meh.
Kleptocracy 101.
Those who persist in telling us how “different” the Uni-Party Conservatives are going to be..”This time for sure”..might consider how they vote..
This is your conservative alternative?
Different from their team mates of the Orange and Red..how?
We will never have rights or freedom in Confederated Canada..
By design.

“No Conservative MP spoke against the bill or opposed it in Second or Third Reading.”
That’s because they are “Conservatives”.
Not to be confused with actual conservatives.
Never Interfere With an Enemy While He’s in the Process of Destroying Himself
Yup, said as much with many superfluous words at 3:39 pm.
Art, are you the Art of War Art?
Who said that? Oh yes, I remember now.
Turdo’s advisors during the scheer and otool days.
The civil service is now the single largest voting block in the country so the Liberals are going to kiss their ass as much as needs be to ensure their votes. This is just the beginning of the fleecing.
I expect an announcement early on about a phased plan to substantially reduce the public self service, not back to the levels at the beginning of girly-boy Justine’s reign but to levels well below that.
A 50% reduction does not seem the least bit extreme to me.
Not only not extreme, but just a small step in the right direction.
Institutionalizing the lazy and useless. Now that’s a recipe for prosperity.
This is the same group of people who decreed that we can be placed on indefinite leave and forbidden access to Unemployment Insurance, should we defy an illegal order from our employer..To be jabbed with the Government Goo..
So who cares if “Federally Regulated Employees” cannot be replaced when on strike?
Every industry being Regulated by Government, needs destroyed.
This legislation will help.
Faster.
Harder.
Observe your local Electrical Utility, they most likely belong to such a category..
When you can probably generate your own power cheaper…with a diesel genset.
“We are here to rule and regulate you”.
The Slime by Frank Zappa.
“No Conservative MP spoke against the bill or opposed it in Second or Third Reading.”
Ha ha ha ha ha. No shit.
Why should they object?
Is the objective of the conservatives to get elected? Or to remain in opposition?
The conservatives are leading in the polls. Trudeau will be trying all kinds of things, such as this to try and whittle away supporters from the conservatives.
Should Poilievre take Trudeau’s bait?
Bingo!
The only thing I want to see PP do now, with zero power, is to continue with his brilliantly hilarious baiting of Justine. My only complaint is that heretofore he has resisted apple-munching when Justine rises to display his faux sincerity and anger. Why, even Justine admitted his ripostes are clever.
You two are quite right. And Justatwit is indeed easily led by the nose. Even for his bought-and-paid-for media circus, the clown show is wearing very thin. He and Garden Gnome Barbie have been doing spending announcements for the last two months. Despite these lavish giveaways, both the Libs/Dips are sinking like stones in the polls.
We will see how much Canadians like unionized banks on strike without replacement workers when they can’t pay their bills and end up with utilities disconnected and evicted. Pierre can shrug and say, don’t ask me, I’m not here to help, I just here to get elected.
Next up – they’ll get full pay when on strike.
As for the Conservatives, due to the polls, they are in a defensive position from now till the election as the spin doctors decide policy and the loyal party sheep, oops I mean members must fall in line. The natural governing party knows this and together with their policy brain-trust of the NDP, they are in full-on Marxist legislative mode. This is the part of the deranged dominion democratic cycle where the leftist ratchet advances and the Conservatives are getting ready to warm their seats as they leave the ratcheted decline intact in waiting for the return of those that know how to legislate.
I remember when conservatives were against public sector unions. Real conservatives still are.
I remember the concept of essential services. Essential services cannot be permitted to strike
Now go ahead and defend the unions. They’re the Marxists.
2015 the SCC ruled that there are no “Essential Services” that cannot strike, so in about 2 weeks Toronto can look forward to it’s Transit system shutting down. (Probably be an improvement)
Yay, less freedom and more Gubmint!
So glad PP can coast to victory, while the Libs continue to inflict harm on Canadians unopposed.
After they can write a book – “How to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory! “. Nothing has been won. So now ,let us out Liberal the Liberals ! Who was Erin Ofoole anyway ?
Man oh man! Just wait till PeePee gets in! He’s gonna trash this legislation so fast!
You just wait and see!
