    1. Condolences. Tried to post about Richard Tandy of ELO last week but those were disappeared.
I recommend having a listen to Hayward and Lodge’s Nights Winters Years.

  1. Climate Crisis Inc. Takes a Hit

“Climate Crisis Inc., a nebulous, secretive but highly organized cabal of activist groups, NGOs living on dark money from billionaires and rest of the climate-crisis industry (see The Breakthrough Institute’s latest bombshell: The Climate Industry’s Misdirection Campaign by Jessica Weinkle), took a serious hit on May 1st: Ninth Circuit Dismisses Kids’ Climate Case (Again). (National Law Review).”

      1. “Coulda done without the apostrophe, Jojo.”

English must be just an awful language to learn. Ten words mean the same thing, five words mean different things depending upon the context they are used in, three words are spelled exactly the same but have different meanings *and* pronunciations (and don’t even get me started on punctuation and capitalization). So many rules…and so many exceptions to those rules. If I wasn’t a native English speaker I question how well I would do in learning it.

  2. And in breaking news, the White House has announced that Joe’s speeches will be much shorter favouring quality over quantity.

    His latest speech:

    ” ”

    Did you enjoy it?
The best and most coherent yet!”

    1. I believe those asterisks represent glottal stops. I anticipate the New York Times’ enthusiastic coverage: “Biden pulls out all the stops!”

      1. Some people would rather abide by the Minsk Agreement that they signed than ignore it and end up being handed their asses by their enemies, but you do you.

        1. The good news is that as we lose any semblance of free speech and learn about our inherent racism due to our skin color we can be comforted in the fact that our “betters” will become very very rich by the time this regional war finds a conclusion.

The best news is that the richer they become the more they will be able to educate us as to how things really are.

The biggest transfer of wealth and power in human history, embraced by so many of those that are paying the bills, amazing.

Well said, JP. The US started this whole thing back in 2014 and it has all unfolded according to their plan.

(and fighting and dying for the profits of billionaire arms dealers is just stupid)

This only ends one way, and the governments of the western nations know it despite their public proclamations to the contrary. STOP THE SLAUGHTER now, before you have wiped out an entire generation of Ukrainians for no good reason other than your own greed and avarice.

          1. @Fred from BC – “The US started this whole thing back in 2014”

It started in 2008 under George Bush and went into action in 2009 under Obama & Hillary Clinton. The 2014 coup in Ukraine was the product of years of work to that end.

Dušica Lazarević received a master’s degree from the European Institute of the University of
Geneva in the field of International and European Security. This essay represents a part of
the research she completed for her master thesis.

      2. “Some people would rather fight and die than roll over and stick their asses in the air to their enemies, but you do you.”

Other people are smart enough to recognize who their real enemies are, but you do you.

      3. Some people just love to watch Ukrainian children die in pointless atrocities. Let’s us do us!

    1. Congratulations Sasie. Now destroy women’s sports so we can rebuild.

    1. You’re telling me he doesn’t understand probability? What are the odds?

    1. Meh. Amateurs.
Years ago there was a rumour going around about renting a couch (Canadian “chesterfield”…) in someones house in Ft Mac for $1200/month.

  3. I wonder if it is only because it is the CBC or because she calls herself a Turkish-Canadian. Whatever happened to people calling themselves just “Canadians”?

It’s well beyond the time to defund the CBC.

  4. Question. If Israel continues to pound Hamas or declares a cease-fire, which tactic would reduce the chance of another October 7, “protest” in the future? Follow up question. Why protest at universities and not at Parliament or Queen’s Park? Or in front of the businesses directly bankrolling Israel. Why universities? I haven’t heard the name of a single business investing in Israel that should be boycotted. Why not name them? Do they not know? Or is this about something else?

  5. Look at how many “refugees” who have been here for decades living off of benefits are permitted to “sponsor” their relatives to Canada even though they are on government benefits and their sponsored relatives will be living off of us for the rest of their lives.

  6. TD Bank crooked.
    https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/toronto-dominion-bank-risks-entering-lost-decade

Remember TD Bank hates freedom folks. TD Bank CEO in Feb 2022 to Freeland “I am very proud of the Canadian banking system this week, we have responded well. But, if you have information on particular people we need a way to share that information.” And “if you list them as people subject to sanctions (i.e. as if they are terrorists) we could act swiftly.”

If TD wasn’t focused on busting truckers, maybe they wouldn’t be so busy laundering fentanyl profits. Bastards.

    1. They just have to help eliminate the old population to welcome in the new replacement population.
